WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a Chemical Engineer II – based in CTS/ZhongShan, GuangDong Province, China – to manage chemical components development and manufacturing at shoe factory.
The candidate must be a fast learner, an individual & flexible thinker, an effective communicator and able to work cross-functinally.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
If this is you, you’ll be working with both company counterparts, external factory partners, and suppliers. performing as a bridge in among team. You will communicate chemical components creation & process setup , and ensure chemical stuffs are well created at development stage , and be soundly produced at mass production with good quality and efficiency.
In this role, you’ll work closely with internal functional teams, external factory partners and chemical suppliers to drive product and manufacturing excellence. You will work on chemical components development & standard process set up, and ensure smooth transition to manufacturing with high efficiency and quality.
A typical day/week looks like:
Identify potential opportunities for application of new technology, process and material through benchmarking with footwear and related chemical industires.
Lead chemical trials, review and confirm physical performance compliance
Set up standard process and ensure smooth transition to mass production
Manage project deliverables on time & report with meaningful commercial impact
Work with line manager to support assigned department goals and projects
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
As a Chemical Engineer II, you will work directly with factory chemical teams and chemical suppliers for all chemical initiatives, and collaborate with manufacturing chemical engineers to ensure smooth transition to mass production. Aslo, you will work directly with HQ counterparts to lead chemical components development from Asia side. You will also work with internal functional teams in Asia including Product Creation, Material Soucing & Manufacturing, Costing & Engineering teams for chemical projects implementaion.
WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelor’s Degree, in Polymer/Chemistry or related areas + minimum 3 years’ chemical engineering or relevant experience. Master degree is a plus.
Good communication skills in both spoken and written English.
Shoe factory working experience is a plus.
