TWO OPEN ROLES: NIKE VALUE STORES (NVS) AND NIKE STORES OWNED (NSO)

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are hiring two strategic, collaborative and commercially minded Senior Assortment Planners: one for Nike Value Stores (NVS) and one for Nike Stores Owned (NSO). NVS is Nike’s value channel, focused on compelling value and managing changing inventory opportunities, while NSO is Nike’s full-price owned retail channel, focused on seasonal assortments, franchise health and Brand expression. You bring energy, resilience and a proactive mindset, and you turn complex data into clear choices, aligned actions and measurable results in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

  • 3+ years of experience in Consumer, Retail Merchandising and/or Assortment Planning.
  • Strong understanding of retail finance, consumer demand, marketplace metrics, margin, inventory planning and commercial drivers.
  • Ability to build and own assortment, Stock & Sales and Open-To-Buy plans, while understanding the end-to-end impact of decisions pre-season and in-season.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and data-storytelling skills, with the ability to turn complexity into clarity and present recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to influence across Planning, Merchandising/Buying, Allocation, Sport, Finance, Supply Chain and related Nike Direct teams.
  • Commercial mindset and confidence to take calculated risks, trade the business and own decisions, outcomes and learnings.
  • Strategic outlook and experience leading projects or cross-functional work through obstacles to deliver business objectives.
  • Self-starter mentality, strong information-seeking skills and consistent delivery against commitments and timelines.
  • Advanced Excel and planning system capability; SSP (Stock and Sales Plan) and assortment-planning tool experience is strongly preferred.
  • Off-price, outlet or owned-retail experience is an advantage, depending on the role.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

In either role, you will own the end-to-end assortment planning process through the lens of Sport. You will translate consumer and business strategy into multi-seasonal assortment plans, connect consumer demand and financial plans with inventory and channel capacity, and actively trade performance to deliver revenue, margin, productivity and inventory-health objectives.

  • Develop and maintain rolling Stock & Sales and Open-To-Buy plans by Sport, consumer and relevant product dimensions.
  • Build seasonal investment and buy recommendations, balancing demand, revenue, margin, inventory health, franchise or product-family health and marketplace needs.
  • Monitor in-season performance, identify emerging risks and opportunities, and recommend clear actions grounded in facts.
  • Lead seasonal and responsive planning conversations, including order-entry completeness, investment choices and tactical adjustments.
  • Bring scenarios and trade-offs into key decision moments, supported by a clear recommendation and ownership.
  • Create concise communication that connects insights to business implications, decisions and actions.
  • Adopt new tools and analytics and improve planning ways of working.

THE TWO OPPORTUNITIES

NVS | NIKE VALUE STORES

1. NVS stands for Nike Value Stores. The channel makes sport accessible through a compelling value offer and supports marketplace health by serving consumers with a combination of Closeout product and Value Essentials.

You will manage one or more Sport portfolios across the EMEA NVS fleet. You will shape pre-season assortment and investment plans, then trade the business as demand, supply and inventory conditions evolve. You will connect consumer demand, financial plans, inventory availability and store capacity, translating changing conditions into clear investment, flow, pricing and promotional choices with Buying/Merchandising, Allocation, Business Planning and Supply & Inventory teams.

Business emphasis: Closeout and Value Essentials; inventory absorption and marketplace health; dynamic capacity and product flow; fast in-season trading and promotional decisions.

2. NSO stands for Nike Stores Owned. The channel represents Nike's directly operated stores, bringing Sport, Brand and product stories to life through consumer-focused assortments and strong retail execution.

You will develop and execute multi-seasonal assortment plans for the owned-store fleet. You will optimize RSV, OTB, margin, inventory productivity and franchise or product-family health, translating Sport strategy and Brand activation priorities into productive store assortments. You will partner with Merchandising, Business Planning, Allocation, Sport teams, Marketing, Nike Direct, Supply Chain and Finance to align seasonal architecture, investment and in-season actions.

Business emphasis: seasonal assortment architecture; franchise and product-family health; Brand and Sport expression; owned-retail productivity and consumer experience.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will join a collaborative EMEA Assortment Planning community and work across a broad Nike Direct network. Your closest partners will include Merchandising/Buying, Business Planning, Allocation, Sport teams, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing and central Supply & Inventory teams. In both roles, you will create one clear view of the business, align choices across functions and translate plans into strong consumer and commercial outcomes. The partner mix and decision focus differ by channel: NVS emphasizes Closeout flow, Value Essentials, inventory absorption and flexible capacity; NSO emphasizes seasonal architecture, franchise health, Brand expression and owned-retail productivity.

WHY THIS ROLE

These roles offer the opportunity to shape assortment strategy and see it come to life in stores. You will work at the intersection of consumer, product, demand, inventory and profitability, with real ownership before and during the season. Choose NVS if you are energized by a dynamic value environment, changing inventory availability and fast commercial trade-offs. Choose NSO if you are energized by multi-seasonal owned-retail planning, franchise development and translating Sport and Brand priorities into the store assortment. Candidates interested in both can be considered across the two opportunities.

HOW TO APPLY

Please apply through the shared posting and indicate whether you are interested in the NVS role, the NSO role, or both. The selection process will assess the same core Senior Assortment Planning capabilities for both openings, followed by role-specific conversations to determine the strongest match between your experience, interests and the needs of each channel.

IMPORTANT and NON-NEGOTIABLE:

  • No relocation package/deal: candidates must currently reside in The Netherlands to be considered for this position. Applications from outside The Netherlands will not be accepted.
  • Hybrid working: 2 days/week home office, 3 days/week at the office.
