WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH


In this role, you’ll report to the Senior Director of North America Express Lane Product, based at Nike’s World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross functional Product Creation leaders and work side-by-side with the North America Local Creation leadership team. The role partners closely with Footwear Design, Product Development, Merchandising, Planning, Brand, Marketplace, Sales, Finance, and global product teams. You will work with footwear leaders across Nike and Jordan, as well as multiple Sports, while leading a team of product managers.


WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

 

This critical role serves the North America Local Creation (NALC) Product Management Team and helps drive our product excellence vision, strategy, and execution. The Director, FW Product Management will guide the product management team and help turn local consumer insights into compelling footwear concepts and assortments that strengthen the Nike Brand and serve the marketplace with speed and specificity.

 

This person is an enterprise-minded leader who can simplify complexity, make clear choices, and inspire teams and senior stakeholders around a compelling product vision. Additionally, they should have the demonstrated ability to work across functional teams with clarity, an enterprise approach, and an eye for growth and serving the athlete (or consumer) at an industry-leading level.  


They are also an authentic and inclusive people leader with a proven track record of developing high-performing teams and coaching managers. This role requires influencing across a matrix organization, creating clarity in ambiguity, and mobilizing teams to deliver with speed, quality, and impact.


What you bring:

  • 15+ years of relevant experience in footwear product management, merchandising, product creation, or a closely related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Product Management, Marketing, Merchandising, or a related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
  • Demonstrated success leading multi-level organizations, including people leaders, while driving alignment and results across cross-functional teams
  • Proven experience creating and activating long term strategies by collaborating and working through others to achieve business results
  • Ability to develop talent and build inclusive, high-performing teams
  • Proven examples of results-orientation, problem solving, and cross functional collaboration
  • Deep understanding of footwear creation, product lifecycle management, franchise management, and line planning.
  • Exceptional influence, communication, and stakeholder alignment skills
  • Ability to lead effectively in complex, fast-paced, and evolving environments
  • Strong business acumen, including experience balancing growth, cost, margin, speed, and execution risk.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% per year, domestically and internationally

 

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

 

In this role you will serve as part of the North America leadership team managing the Footwear Product Management team responsible for leading product expression across multiple Consumers x Sports. You will drive product excellence from initial concept through to commercialization and production and ensure the product teams deliver impactful product for the NA consumer and marketplace.


In this role, you will:


  • Set the multi-season vision, strategy, and portfolio priorities for NA Footwear Local Creation, translating consumer, marketplace, sport, and cultural insights into clear product opportunities.
  • Lead product line management across Nike, Jordan, NSW, Energy, Kids and Performance, ensuring distinct brand expression while driving a connected local creation portfolio.
  • Guide seasonal and long-range line planning, including franchise strategy, product architecture, pricing, lifecycle, cost and margin considerations, and marketplace segmentation.
  • Create alignment at critical checkpoints with Design, Product Development, Merchandising, Planning, Brand, Marketplace, and global product teams.
  • Build and lead a high-performing product line management team, setting clear outcomes, coaching talent, and creating an inclusive and innovative environment with strong accountability.
  • Represent the NA Local Creation footwear portfolio in senior leadership forums and communicate strategies, opportunities, risks, and decisions with clarity.
  • Champion faster, consumer-led ways of working while maintaining product excellence, operational discipline, and accurate product information.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across the Footwear organization
