Role Purpose:

As a core member of the Nike Running Footwear team, you will independently manage a specific product portfolio, responsible for executing the most competitive merchandising strategies within the Greater China (GC) market. Your mission is to translate global product visions into localized business plans. Through keen consumer insights, precise GC product line adoption, and scientific in-season data management, you will ensure Nike’s leadership in the running marketplace, driving sustainable and profitable growth for the GC business. Focus on Racing and Core.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Portfolio Management: Obsess with the consumer and serve as the category expert. Independently lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for assigned portfolios. Manage seasonal flow, pricing, distribution, and color flow plans to ensure a perfect balance between "Art and Science."
  • Marketplace Insights & Global Feedback: Conduct regular market visits to gather feedback from elite racers to everyday runners. Collect competitor status (new product/innovation launch, community activities, etc.). Translate market dynamics into clear business insights to influence global product briefs and align GC needs with global counterparts.
  • Strategic Presentation & Sell-in: Lead high-impact seasonal sell-in presentations to downstream teams and retailers. Deliver clear seasonal priorities, balancing newness and consistency. Utilize strong negotiation skills to ensure technical specs and brand stories are accurately adopted and executed across the marketplace.
  • Agile In-season Decision Making: Monitor weekly sell-through and inventory health. Proactively propose optimization tactics to the leadership based on store feedback and competitor moves to achieve financial targets.
  • Cross-functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with marketplace merchant, brand marketing, planning, sales, and  to ensure consistent and impactful product storytelling across all channels.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Industry Experience: 3-5 years of experience in merchandising or buying. Proven track record of independently managing a footwear product portfolio within the sports or fashion retail industries.
  • Advanced Performance Insight : A strong passion for footwear technology (cushioning, energy return, carbon plates, etc.). Ability to recognize and distinguish nuances between performance running trends (e.g., the evolution of racing aesthetics, training vs. racing technical requirements, etc…).
  • Influence & Negotiation Skills: Excellent presentation and storytelling skills. Ability to influence internal and external partners and negotiate effectively to drive category goals and portfolio alignment.
  • Analytical Acumen: Proficient in Excel and retail math (Margin, Sell-through, WOS). Able to find the "truth" behind the numbers.
  • Bilingual Proficiency: Fluent English and Mandarin skills (verbal and written) for confident communication in a multinational environment.
  • Runner’s Mindset: A passion for running culture, with the ability to view the product line through the consumer's lens.

Para los puestos de Retail, tendrás que completar una evaluación interactiva de entre 10 y 20 minutos que incluye una conversación y cuestionarios. Independientemente de tu puesto, queremos conocer todas tus facetas, así que no tengas reparo en enseñar cómo ofreces un servicio premium y qué es lo que te diferencia de los demás.
