WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

You will work closely with senior engineers, Finance and Procurement business partners, internal audit, IT controls, product managers, and program stakeholders across Nike. You will support audit and compliance requests from internal and external auditors, helping gather evidence and respond to control inquiries related to Coupa.

You will collaborate with engineers across product squads and platform teams—including Coupa, SailPoint/IdentityIQ (IIQ), and other indirect procurement systems—to support user access reviews, role mapping, configuration change tracking, and audit evidence collection.

You will learn from senior team members through pairing, documentation reviews, and guided troubleshooting while contributing to team delivery and operational support.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for a Software Engineer - II who is eager to build a career in indirect procurement technology with a focus on Coupa audit, control, and compliance support. You will assist in responding to audit requests, supporting user access and configuration change reviews, and executing Coupa-related changes under the guidance of senior engineers.

The ideal candidate has foundational understanding of Procure-to-Pay processes, attention to detail, and interest in audit-ready systems. You are organized, curious, and comfortable working with structured evidence requests, access management concepts, and Coupa administration tasks. Strong written communication and the ability to follow established procedures are essential.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Min 4 years of overall experience in software engineering, IT application support, or enterprise business systems, with exposure to indirect procurement or finance technology.

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience supporting COUPA audit, control, or compliance-related activities—such as user access reviews, configuration change evidence, or ITGC/SOX request support.

  • Working knowledge of Coupa administration, configuration, or production support—including workflows, user roles, approvals, and basic platform troubleshooting.

  • Understanding of user access management concepts and experience supporting identity management tools (e.g., SailPoint, IdentityIQ) or equivalent access governance processes.

  • Familiarity with Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes and how Coupa supports requisition, approval, and payables workflows.

  • Ability to gather, document, and present audit evidence in structured formats with accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Strong collaboration skills and willingness to work in an Agile delivery environment under senior engineer guidance.

Preferred qualifications

  • Exposure to Coupa configuration changes, release notes review, and regression testing support.

  • Basic understanding of SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC integration touchpoints with Coupa.

  • Familiarity with ITGC/SOX control frameworks and evidence requirements for enterprise SaaS applications.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

As a Software Engineer - II on the Indirect Procurement Technology team, you will support Coupa audit and control compliance activities and assist with Coupa configuration and enhancement work. You will help ensure audit requests are responded to accurately and on time, and that Coupa changes follow Nike change management and control standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support internal and external audit requests related to Coupa SOX/ITGC controls by gathering evidence, documenting findings, and presenting information in required formats under senior engineer review.

  • Assist with user access audit requests—including role reviews, access certification support, user provisioning/deprovisioning validation, and mapping Coupa roles to identity management tools such as SailPoint/IIQ.

  • Support configuration change audit requests by tracking Coupa configuration changes, maintaining change evidence, and helping validate that changes follow approved change management processes.

  • Execute Coupa configuration and enhancement tasks as assigned—such as workflow updates, approval rule changes, user role adjustments, and basic troubleshooting—in test and production environments.

  • Partner with senior engineers, finance, and business teams to clarify audit requirements and ensure responses are complete and accurate.

  • Participate in testing and validation activities for Coupa changes, including regression support and documentation of test results.

  • Troubleshoot Coupa application and access-related issues; escalate complex integration or production issues to senior engineers.

  • Maintain clear documentation—including audit evidence logs, access review records, configuration change notes, and support procedures.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and communicate progress, blockers, and risks to the team lead or senior engineer.
