To ensure the integrity of Nike Inc. through consistent execution of merchandising direction within Nike Factory Stores, providing a premium retail experience for eve consumer.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Seasonal Initiative Floor Sets

  • Support initiative installations, ensuring all windows and initiative areas have been executed to a premium level. Plan and execute seasonal directions/ key looks/ category layout and promotions in store.
  • Maintain, promote, and execute Nike Product Presentation (PP) standards across Nike Factory Store (NFS).
  • Actively seek innovative/creative ideas and provide feedback to elevate initiatives in store.
  • Manage and maintain mannequins and signage within the store and ensure they are always in premium condition.
  • Contribute to NFS Product Presentation Conference calls — discuss successes and challenges from the week prior and plans for the week ahead. Provide initiative feedback.
  • Ensure that clear photographs are captured and shared on Nike's chosen platform when requested.
  • Training/Coaching
  • Build and maintain good relationships with Managers, Athletes and the NFS support team. Communicate effectively and ensure that PP schedules and details are always clear.
  • Train store teams on PP standards and direction.
  • Communicate regularly with NFS PP Territory Lead with ideas/needs.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team.
  • Should be ok to travel for centralised training workshops and to other stores to impart training to new team members and for store launch assistance when required.

Business Support

  • Work collaboratively with all relevant Coaches and the NFS PP Territory Lead when you see commercial / brand opportunities within the centre and to support Brand objectives.
  • Work with store teams to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining PP standards.
  • Ensure the maintenance of a healthy capacity along with merchandising standards for every category. Ability to recognize and act where any variation to seasonal direction is required in store following Nike guidelines.
  • Collaborate with store team on divisional analysis, best and worst sellers with a focus on driving profitability.
  • Participate in store visits focusing on presentation standards, brand integrity and identifying business opportunities.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

As a Nike Direct Athlete, you are passionate about Nike products and services. You will demonstrate enthusiasm and eagerness to learn the fundamentals of all store Athlete roles, including but not limited to Service, Visual Presentation, and Stockroom. You will deliver the best possible service and attention to all consumers. Assist the team in executing all daily retail operations to ensure premium service and smooth store functioning. You will develop positive relationships with consumers and teammates and be an active member of the store community by attending and supporting store events. You will model reliability and flexibility by being able to work varied hours and days to meet the needs of the business. You will maintain knowledge of various store departments and be available to operate the cash register for regular transactions, perform shipping and receiving duties, stock the floor, perform cleaning duties, and build visual displays when necessary.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

High School/Secondary School Diploma or equivalent 2-year Degree

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE

  • At least I-year experience in Visual Merchandising — preferably apparel or lifestyle field.
  • Visual Merchandising hands on training with large chain or National Retailer also preferred.

MINIMUM SKILLS

Technical:

  • Ability to apply/interpret and implement the PP Guidelines
  • Execute and maintain mannequin styling standards
  • Proficient in written communication, ability to produce clear, professional, and extensive written direction.
  • Basic computer knowledge and use of Power Point Presentations

Communication/Language:

  • Ability to communicate professionally with all internal and external teams.
  • Negotiation skills are of a high level. Clear speaker and listener.

Management/Leadership (if applicable):

Ability to clearly explain tasks and train staff in the fundamentals of merchandising and display follow through and communicate challenges and identify solutions.

Other:

  • Organized and strong attention to detail.
  • Creative problem solver with the ability to be able to prioritize workload.
  • PHYSICAL & TECHNICAL ENVIRONMENT: Specific tools, technologies, substances, hazards or protective equipment needed to perform the job and the approximate percentage of times spent on each.
  • PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Incumbents generally must be able to, with or without accommodation, have the proficient use of both sensory perception/clarity and muscle control/coordination. This may include vision (near, far, colour, glare control), hearing (auditory attention, sound localization), speech, strength, agility, dexterity, flexibility, steadiness or reaction time.
  • Lifting large and small packages sometimes into tight small spaces.
  • Lots of bending.
  • Carrying large stock piles across different spaces.
  • Up and down ladders.
  • Ability to see clearly in all view points
