WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH 

You will join a collaborative engineering team specialized in developing cloud-native applications and integration solutions with the help of AI. The group combines technical expertise with functional knowledge of Finance & Procurement to deliver enterprise-grade solutions. 

As part of this team, you will be involved in designing and building services in a continuous delivery model on the Nike cloud platform. This role will also partner with leads and architects to help establish a technical vision and deliver innovative services which are consistent, robust, maintainable, and highly scalable. You will regularly interact with Procurement capability team, other engineering teams, and technical peers to ensure solutions meet global expectations for financial service, security, reliability, and performance. We follow agile methodologies and practice DevOps. 

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR 

We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer II with a passion for building and maintaining data platforms and delivering next-generation procurement and invoice technology solutions. You thrive in a collaborative environment, have a proven track record of delivering reliable software, and are excited to help elevate engineering practices and team capability. A learning mindset, excellent analytical skills, and strong written and verbal communication are essential. 

Skillset Required 

• 3+ years of experience in software development, with a strong foundation in distributed systems and data platforms. 

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Node.js, Java. 

• Deep expertise with cloud platforms like AWS (EC2, Lambda, ECS, EKS, SQS, DynamoDB, S3, CLI) 

• Hands-on experience with AWS RDS, Apache Spark or Databricks 

• Proven ability to deliver high-impact, API-first microservices at scale. 

• Proficiency in containerized application development and deployment 

• Familiarity with GitHub, JIRA, Jenkins 

• Demonstrated expertise in Terraform, CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code operations 

• Familiarity and development experience with tools like VS Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot  

• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills 

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills 

• Preferred to have some knowledge of AI & ML 

• Integration experience with SaaS platforms (e.g., Coupa, Ariba), SAP, and middleware solutions (Oracle Fusion) is a plus 

• Working experience integrating with open-source applications (e.g., Kafka, NiFi) is a plus 

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON 

• Develop and maintain scalable data platforms and services supporting complex transactional flows globally 

• Develop SDKs, APIs, and microservices to support enterprise-wide data and analytics needs 

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, with all needed documentation 

• Implement best practices in software development, data governance, and platform observability 

• Collaborate with senior engineers and other team members to develop robust solutions 

• Ensure data quality and reliability through testing and validation 

• Develop artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions tailored to specific use cases 

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing 

• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving production issues 

• Follow Agile methodologies and practice DevOps
