WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will spend much of your time with Software Engineers in Creation Engineering and adjacent teams. You will also partner closely with other Principal Engineers, Engineering Directors, and Product Managers in both Product Creation and other departments. Joining Product Creation in India means becoming part of a global innovation engine that shapes the future of sport and technology. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Join Nike’s India Technology Center (ITC) as Senior Principal Engineer, Product Creation. Product Creation is the technology powerhouse behind Nike’s product creation ecosystem driving digital transformation across Footwear, Apparel, and Accessories. In this role, you will to solve complex software engineering problems supporting Nike’s pursuit of delivering state of the art tools to our product developers and broader creation community. You will need to be highly collaborative with peers, productive in a fast-paced development environment and have depth of native cloud software engineering experience.
Key Qualifications.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience
14+ years hands-on software engineering experience
5+ years experience as a Principal or Staff Engineer, accountable for multiple engineering teams
5+ years native cloud engineering experience in a high scale, business critical domain
Excellent computer science fundamentals including algorithms, data structures, and modern cloud native design patterns
Hands-on experience implementing Gen AI and working knowledge of Gen AI design patterns
Deep experience with distributed cloud systems tech (Java/node.js, EC2, Lambda, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, or Google Cloud/Azure equivalents)
Experience with front-end web application tech (javascript, CSS, html5, Vue, React/redux)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both technical and business-facing
Ability to build and maintain relationships with multiple senior stakeholders
Domain experience in product creation, design, innovation or manufacturing is a major plus
Ability to pass a seven year background investigation
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
If this is you, you’ll be working on the Product Creation team and be one of the primary technical leaders on one of Nike’s emerging technology platforms. In a typical week, half of your time will be spent leading by example to design, develop, operate, and integrate Nike and partner platforms and applications. The other half will be leadership responsibilities to drive technical priorities, define engineering best practices, collaborate with peers, and help to translate business problems into technical solutions.
