Description

We are looking for an experienced Account Planner with in-depth end-to-end planning knowledge to help drive mutually profitable growth and be a business owner on the Zalando account team.

Working across categories, genders, and product engines, this Account Planner will collaborate with the external Zalando account team, leading open-to-buy management with the customer to assure mutual profitability. The account planner will also collaborate with key internal stakeholders to develop and manage the business plan from top-line financials all the way down to SKU level.

This role will inform the Strategic Plan for the Zalando account and collaborate closely with Merchandising and Sales to build seasonal assortment financial plans that tie to the business plans and targets. The account planner will also conduct regular analysis to inform and influence current and future seasons, proactively managing measuring the business to ensure mutual profitability. Lastly, the account planner will create the future of Digital Planning by redefining current tools, processes, and KPIs and tailoring them to a Digital Pure Player model.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage & Evolve A World Class Stock and Sales Plan to Drive Action While Effectively Managing the Business
• Own the Long-Range Sales Forecasting Process and Plans Based on Market Place Capacity, Driving A 3-Year Rolling Gross-To-Net Plan.
• Produce Insightful Sell Thru Analysis Through Weekly Trading Reports, Seasonal Teardowns, Stock and Sales Plans, Etc. That Allow the Team to Make Informed Decisions.
• Create and Drive "One Version of The Truth" That Informs X-Functionally. Continuously Drive Alignment Across Sales, Operations, And Finance on Marketplace & Business Health
• Influence the Customer by Building Compelling Fact-Based Arguments on Growth Plans, Marketplace Opportunities, Flow Plans, And G2N Management
• Research the Market - Discover and Analyze Industry Trends That Will Allow Us to Influence the Customer & Internal Leadership
• Develop and Support Strategic Planning Process, Working as The Lead Partner for The Sales Director & Sales Planning Director
• Create the Future of Digital Planning, Serving as One of The Key Sparring Partners for The Sales Planning Director and Senior Director In Order To Reshape Planning For Digital Pure Players
• Lead Effectively Within Functional Sales Planning Community & Within Internal Business Processes Outside the Account Team to Enable the Account Team to Achieve Its Strategic Priorities

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Sales, Fashion, Marketing or A Related Field
• 6+ Years' Experience in Buying, Planning, Allocation and/or Vendor Sales for A Multi-Store Retailer
• Comprehensive Understanding of Retail Math
• Strong Self-Awareness & Continuous Curiosity
• Experience in Gross Margin Profitability Planning
• Ability to Create Scenarios, Models, Monthly Reports, Stock & Sales Plans, Track Retail Moments, Develop Tools, and Storytell Using Decks
• Experience in Developing an Understanding of Customers, Competitors and Retail Trends; Knowledge of Sports Apparel and Footwear Market Preferred
• Ability to Interpret Financial Sales Data to Make Decisions and Recommendations That Impact the Business and Result in Actionable Outcomes
• Advanced Knowledge of MS Office Applications and Proficiency in Excel Including Creating Spreadsheets, Complex Formulas, Pivot Tables, And Macros
• Experience with Planning Software/Tools and Merchandise Management Systems is Preferred
• Digital Experience is Preferred
