Description

The  Accounting Director, Source to Pay will be an integral member of North America Controlling leadership team, responsible for working cross functionally to deliver an integrated and well controlled operations offense for vendor management, sourcing, procurement, payment and financial statement accuracy for spend categories to enable the commercial and operational strategies of North America and Global businesses.  This will include establishing centralized governance and expertise and will require dynamic and influential leadership of direct and virtual teams as well as with business and operational partners. 

Success in this role requires the ability to:

• Act strategically with both a win now and create the future mentality when leading the deployment of the team's priority initiatives

• Project manage and strategically structure and solve problems

• Deliver results through team leadership, cross functional collaboration and motivate groups to collectively meet common objectives

• Demonstrate strong cross-functional business acumen and communication of financial and operational stories. Demonstrate functional and/or technical proficiency in Finance area of specialty and applies the expertise to execute against Nike's business goals and objectives. 

• Continuously enhances professional knowledge and stays current with Nike and industry best practices.

• Drives effectiveness through continuous optimization and improvement of organizations, processes, and systems. 

• Effectively applies LEAN or a similar process optimization concepts.

• Effectively manages organizational and process changes by building and maintaining momentum for change, engaging stakeholders, aligning the organization, training and developing people, and ensuring business readiness and adoption for change.

• Unleash the most diverse, inclusive and talented team through effectively exhibiting NIKE's Lead, Coach Drive and Inspires capabilities.  


Qualifications


• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, preferably with an emphasis in Finance, Economics, Business, Risk Management or equivalent.   Masters of Accountancy or MBA highly preferred.

• Minimum 10 years' experience in increasing areas of responsibility focused heavily on sourcing and supply chain; preferably within a large, complex, multinational manufacturing corporation

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a supervisory capacity managing both people and projects. Large scale systems implementation experience strongly preferred.

• Must have strong understanding of COSO / ICFR / SOX and accounting practices to engage with various constituents across NIKE.

• Strong international business acumen and multicultural experience

• Experience in public accounting firm, corporate internal audit team, technical accounting function, operational accounting teams, and/or internal / external financial reporting teams is strongly preferred.

• Proficiency with SAP (or other major) ERP, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint systems

• Experience with advanced automation/software robotics tools is a plus

• Ability to travel 10 - 15% (domestic and international)
