They manage accounting and reporting for Nike's multi-billion-dollar global investment portfolio, debt and equity instruments, and other Treasury activities. Description

As our Accounting Manager, EMEA Inventory Control, you will join the EMEA Innovation & Supply Chain Accounting team and will help build our Controlling offense with the EMEA Fulfillment and Operations teams.
You will champion a continuous improvement mindset and drive optimized processes and practices across our EMEA inventory and supply chain accounting processes, systems, and controls to ensure financial statement accuracy and enable NIKE's operational and marketplace strategies and ongoing growth.

Business Insights/Decision Support:
  • Drive the design and support the implementation of new accounting and operational policies, processes, systems, and controls
  • Enable supply chain programs, projects and initiatives through proactive, insightful Controlling advisement in the planning, operationalization and stabilization of programs
  • Build relationships with key business stakeholders across Finance and Operations to drive informed business decisions, well-controlled processes, forecast accuracy and scenario planning
Operational Excellence:
  • Serve as the Controlling owner for key and non-key controls within EMEA distribution centers; provide training and educate all control performers/reviewers to properly assess and complete self-assessments timely, identify and track deficiencies, and establish plans to remediate identified failures;
  • Partner with Inventory Management and Operations to establish a governance model for all EMEA 3rd party logistic providers - executing shadow counting, reconciling 3rd party WMS systems, etc.
  • Establish a governance model to approve and review inventory adjustments impacting the Financial Statements
  • Support gross/net cycle count progress and accuracy reporting to ensure compliance with NIKE's Global Cycle Count Policy
  • Track and monitor WMS to SAP Imbalances at Nike owned facilities, understand the root cause of the imbalance, and evaluate the Financial Statement implications
  • Support Nike's Internal and External Auditors for walkthroughs, control testing, and operational audits
  • Monitor status of projects and results of internal control assessments
  • Consult on ICFR methodology, impacts, and ownership requirements

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance/related field with 7+ years of experience in accounting, finance or related functions
  • Big 4 Public accounting experience and Certified Public Accountant (CPA/Equivalent) is a must
  • Experience with a Fortune 500/multinational consumer products company is preferred; experience with commerce organizations and strategies is a plus
  • Strong commercial and business acumen
  • Strong US GAAP experience and technical accounting knowledge; ability to assess financial risks and controls across end to end business and operational processes
  • Excellent Influencing/Storytelling skills and ability to drive change through consensus
  • Proven ability to innovate, problem solve complex topics and concepts, and successfully navigate ambiguous situations
  • Enthusiasm for the Nike brand NIKE is a growth company
  • Ability and willingness to travel on a regular basis between Nike's EMEA Headquarters in Hilversum, Netherlands and the Nike European Logistics Campus near Geel, Belgium. Additionally, there may be occasional travel to distribution centers in the EMEA geography.
