SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Senior Software Engineer for Serve's Partner and Marketplace Engineering team, you will lead designing and building of robust services to bring the Nike's experiences to marketplaces and partners across the globe. We are seeking a high performing Software Engineer to lead best practices for our Android mobile applications team. In this role, you will collaborate with software development teams, Nike's business, and partners to develop and analyze user stories, transform them into implementable components, and deliver effective new features to our users/consumers. The successful candidate is a proven software engineer with excellent communication and current hands-on coding skills.
WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE
What we're looking for:
6 years Android mobile software development experience
Experience leading projects in a highly collaborative, multi-discipline development team environment
Experience working in a distributed/cloud-based environment (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
Deep understanding and proficiency in building mobile apps from scratch using Java, Android Studio. Experience with multiple platforms is preferred.
Experience with MobSF, Fortify, AWS AppSync, Google Maps SDK
Desire and ability to expand expertise into additional mobile languages
Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
Ability to maintain and refactor existing codebases to best practices and new technologies
Prior experience in designing and implementing highly scalable native mobile applications
Experience in micro service architecture, domain driven design, and RESTful Services using languages such as Java, Node, or Scala
Working knowledge of Scrum and agile principles
Experience with continuous integration, unit testing, static analysis, and automated integration tests. Continuous delivery experience preferred.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other relevant subject area. 2 years additional relevant professional experience accepted in lieu of degree
