Assigned to a Category or Division. Work under the direction of a Sr Tech Developer or Manager.

Assist team in the fit and construction from initial concept through to commercialization and production for assigned styles to lead to on time delivery and development according to critical dates, product specification, sustainability, performance, and profitability goals.

Assist in the creation and revision of the Tech Pack for assigned styles; ensures all appropriate development documentation is maintained including product specs and prototype notes.

Assist in the execution fit and construction standards for a category or product group to ensure consistency.

Tracks and facilitates prototyping for styles; identifies and addresses key issues and challenges in construction / manufacturing and plans accordingly to deliver proven and tested product.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Fit model scheduling
  • Fit session notetaking (need-basis)
  • Receive, track, manage, and sort samples
  • Organize and manage sample closet
  • Sample ordering (including wear test and size set garments) through various formats
  • Build toolboxes for cross-categorical standardization (digital and physical)
  • Create, edit, and update specs/measurements in PCX
  • Collaborate with partnering organizations and international vendors
  • Update tracker data

Specific Work Experience

Basic understanding of project management and problem solving concepts and application. Basic knowledge of Product Creation. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with an ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives.

  • Registered in an program or college for Apparel Design, Pattern Making, Textile Science or related field.
  • Working towards completion resulting in a Bachelors Degree or Certification.
  • Minimum 0-1 years relevant work experience.
  • Basic knowledge of the development process from inception through production, including but not limited to pattern making, grading, construction, costing, manufacturing, embroidery, materials and machinery
  • Ability to work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations
  • Ability to write product specs and advanced construction instructions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office programs
  • Ability to use Adobe Illustrator and exposure to Apparel CAD Pattern Design software (Optitex/Browzwear) highly desired
