The Nike, Inc. Communications team develops, establishes and strengthens authentic connections with diverse audiences through the lens of innovation and sport. The team creates premium and innovative brand stories, builds and enhances corporate reputation and brand equity, and engages audiences such as consumers, media, athletes, investors, non-governmental organizations and Nike's own employees. The team focuses on information, inspiration and connection to accelerate the growth of Nike, Inc. Communications employees ignite conversations, envision the possibilities, and influence and deliver new levels of creative and strategic thinking to advance the brand around the world.
Description

As the Finish Line/JD Sports Brand Director, you'll provide strategic leadership and develop marketing briefs and plans for brand-defining initiatives and key brand-driving franchises. You will be the face of the brand to our retail partner and work closely with Finish Line/JD Sports' marketing team to plan and execute our brand plan. You will be expected to maintain a productive relationship with the account, problem solve, and manage the ongoing dialog and planning with the account. At Nike, you will drive an integrated brand marketing process with your cross-functional team to plan and execute. You will own a process of evaluation and analysis of execution to ensure continuing improvement in consumer experience and use of resources to achieve that experience. You will establish tangible business objectives, monitor results and allocate and align resources to achieve business objectives. You will work with Nike's Merch team and participate in the creation of seasonal product briefs for exclusive account assortments and lead the development of the marketing plans to bring those assortments to market. You will participate in business planning, budgeting, and strategy development and participate in cross functional discussions and initiatives across the Integrated Account Team (Sales, Merch, Brand, Ops, Business Planning, etc). You will support the development of a diverse team and contribute to a culture of creativity and creating brand impact.


Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master degree in Business, Merchandising, Inventory Management, or a related field, additional

2 years of experience in lieu of degree.

Minimum of 8-10 years Brand Marketing or related experience

Strong verbal and written communication skills, including meeting facilitation and delivering presentations

Ability to effectively communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience

Ability to effectively elevate strategic concerns to senior management in a timely and accurate manner

Ability to develop strong working relationships with our retail partner, management and internal key constituencies

Ability to exercise a high degree of professionalism

Demonstrated leadership in cultivating continuous learning, empowerment, involvement and opportunities

Ability to define an independent point of view, effectively collaborate in decision-making and motivate others, especially during difficult situations or on tough organizational issues

Ability to travel up to 25-35% of the time
