Strategic Planning, Corporate Services

Strategic Planning teams keep the company moving in the right direction by leading the strategic business planning process and spearheading transformational projects across Nike businesses and geographies. Embedded in teams across the company, strategy professionals explore complex business issues; conduct consumer, competitive and market analyses; create financial models and develop action plans. The Strategic Planning teams help write the future of sport by charting Nike's path forward.
Description

At Air Manufacturing Innovation we are innovators, engineers, scientists, strategists, and makers dedicated to the development and production of advanced footwear technologies. We are looking for a unique, passionate individual to join our team.

As Manager, Business Development, you will report to the Director, Partner Development and Strategy for Air Manufacturing Innovation and together will play a critical role in the development of our overall partnership strategy and help execute innovative partnership models that accelerate key business initiatives. You will work together with a broad set of cross-functional stakeholders (including NIKE legal, Procurement, and our innovation departments) on contract development and negotiations. You will support the creation of internal review processes for the development and scaling of new technologies and business models.

To do this job, you will need a unique combination of attributes. You must be a self-starter, flexible thinker, and excellent communicator who is comfortable working cross-functionally and influencing different personalities and perspectives. You have a passion for, and understanding of manufacturing and experience in multiple disciplines, including business development, operations, finance, and strategy. You must have a strong acumen for business contracts and agreements. You have the ability to see the big picture and the personality to roll up your sleeves and do the work. Similarly, you have experience building momentum and aligning multiple constituencies within large organizations. You are capable of developing a vision, executing an initiative and presenting the results to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support in the development and execution of Air Manufacturing Innovation's partnership strategy
  • Support the development of deal strategy and appropriate deal structures for new and existing partnerships
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders through the deal process
  • Manage external partnerships to ensure ongoing alignment to the strategic vision and partner performance
  • Support the creation and ongoing management of internal review process for new technologies



Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, plus a minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic planning, corporate development, business development, management consulting, finance or related fields
  • MBA, JD, or advanced degree strongly preferred
  • Experience with contract negotiations and deal structures
  • Prior experience in innovation, manufacturing, product development, or related fields preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and achieve results across multiple audiences in complex organizational structure
  • Extraordinary networking, relationship building and partnership management skills
  • Self-directed and comfortable working in ambiguous environments
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis and develop financial models
  • Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and problems to creatively structure solutions
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Fluent in Keynote/PowerPoint/MS Word Suite
