Description

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about retail and Nike's products to begin their career with Nike retail at a time of huge growth, in a role where you will gain insight into all areas of our retail business. 

The Buying Operations team is a partner for all different dimensions (inline, digital, off price) of Nike Direct Buying and other functions that are leading the seasonal buy and trade process from a Category, Geography and Territory point of view. Buying Operations leads process excellence and innovation and drives the pricing process tools within the buying community.

As a Buying Coordinator you will specifically focus on driving data accuracy, efficiencies in product data management, pricing processes and sample processes. Together with the category squads focus on operational tasks enabling the team to plan, buy and trade the seasonal product line, price and build consumer/market right assortments - in the relevant buying systems and tools. In this role you will report directly to the Buying Operation Manager or Lead.

Operational excellence;

  • You will manage a timely and accurate order entry for the collections every season and in season, to ensure the right collection will be delivered to our retail doors.

  • You will execute the pricing strategy by timely inputting mark downs and price changes.



Buying info and product management;

  • Ensure all products are setup ready to be shipped and bought by the consumer; maintaining the integrity of data.

  • Execute and maintain accurate buying and product information in the respective systems (IP/SAP...) to ensure that product is ready for the marketplace on time.

  • Execute data validation to ensure data accuracy at any given time. Ensure consistent and accurate tools of record for buying, pricing and assortment visualization.

  • Opportunity to learn "on the job" by participating with the squad works as the operational lead and therefore access to learn more on product, assorting, reporting, analyzing and presenting.

  • Support and provide information flow from Buying systems to MPO, DSM, Buying, Merchandising.



Merchandising systems and tools expertise;

  • Participate in the preparation and implementation of any future system/tool functionalities and support a smooth transition.

  • Monitor all systems and tool functionalities/usage to be able to: detect issues, raise awareness, and support the evolution process.


Qualifications


  • Our ideal candidate has at least 1-2 year of working experience in a retail or merchandising related field.

  • We are looking for the right mix of analytical skills, attention to detail, affinity with sports and a commercial mindset.

  • Experience with using SAP and AV tools is a plus.

  • Strong Excel knowledge is also needed and must be comfortable working in Excel on a regular basis and using as a tool.

  • As well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • You must be able to effectively manage multiple priorities by keeping a positive attitude and being able to work collaboratively with your team.
