Nike's Consumer Direct Sciences is a growing team responsible for building and deepening a holistic view of Nike's consumers through data and analytics and applying those insights to inform the development of incredible digital content & experiences for our consumers.

Overview



This is a key Data Scientist role responsible for Data Integration and strategies, sitting within the Marketing Science pillar of the Consumer Direct Sciences organization. Marketing Science works closely with NikeDirect, Nike Marketing, and Media teams to increase the reach, relevance, and impact of Marketing, through measurement, content analytics, advanced, targeting techniques, and deep understanding of our consumer journeys.

  • Master's or PHD degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another quantitative field
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models
  • High proficiency in statistical computer languages such as R, Python, SQL to manipulate data and draw insights from large complex data sets.
  • Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks, as well as advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and their applications on commercial context.
  • Proven ability to sift through data, identify critical information, analyze, develop hypotheses and make recommendations required.
  • Strong presentation skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, including results packaging and development of management presentations.
  • Ability to develop strong partnerships across a multi-layered organization required.
  • Familiarity and passion for sports and Nike products is highly advantageous.
