This is a unique opportunity to help Converse unlock consumer insights and identify marketplace opportunities that will drive this iconic brand's success well into its second 100 years. As an analyst on the strategy team at Converse you will provide foundational consumer insights and a market intelligence fact base that will help shape a consumer-led strategy and drive growth. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a high-performing team of passionate insights and strategy professionals who are writing the next chapter in Converse's extraordinary history.
In this global role, you will interact with nearly every function and geography, starting with strategy, but including marketing, product, design, finance and retail. You will also work on a wide range of projects from ongoing efforts to track brand performance to strategic initiatives requested by business leaders. Adding to the diversity of this experience, your work will leverage a full palette of consumer insights tools with emphasis on quantitative data, methodologies and analysis. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is equally comfortable working with data as they are with interpreting and communicating key take-aways. You will both drive the analysis, as well as share your insights, conclusions and recommendations with key decision-makers across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Represent the voice of the consumer in strategy decision making by developing a strong understanding of our consumers, our brand, our market and competitive position.
• Your work will be a mix of working independently, with market research partners and/or with the Director of Strategy and Consumer Insights on multiple brand tracking and market intelligence studies, to continuously evolve the design, interpretation and reporting of these foundational studies.
• Find best in class ways to visualize and deliver data and insights, including leveraging online reporting and data visualization tools. You will have the freedom and be encouraged to be creative and innovative in this and other areas of your work.
• Synthesize findings from multiple sources (e.g., qualitative and quantitative, primary and secondary) and deliver compelling storytelling to inform, influence and shape strategy
• Champion best practices including methods and measurement throughout the organization
• Continuously learn and grow your understanding of consumer insights and market intelligence best practices and share them with others at Converse
• Collaborate with insights colleagues from around the world and at Nike to understand and bring our consumers to life

• 3-5 years of experience in consumer insights/market research on the vendor or client side, or closely related field, such as analyst within a consulting firm.
• Strong familiarity with NPD, Nielsen, GFK, Kantar or similar market share and market intelligence syndicated services.
• Experience writing surveys and analyzing survey data is important (and experience with DIY survey platforms such as Survey Monkey or Qualtrics is also a plus)
• Prior experience in consumer insights within consumer goods and/or retail. Footwear and apparel industry experience not required
• Exceptionally strong analytical skills and love of data and analysis. We are looking for someone who has a solid foundation skill set and is eager to continue to learn on the job.
• BA or BS in a related discipline such as marketing, market research, business, finance, psychology, sociology, mathematics, statistics, etc.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Software skills: Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Keynote presentation skills also a plus, as are SPSS and Tableau.
