Converse Retail Brand Product Specialist- Visual Merchandising

DEVELOP AND DELIVER VISUAL MERCHANDISING DIRECTION

• Assist in creating and executing seasonal floor set directives for Converse owned stores.
• Act as the visual merchandising lead for in store remodels and new store openings in partnership with the construction, marketing, buying and real estate teams. Provide the strategic direction on appropriate fixtures and layout considerations and optimize the consumer journey throughout the store space.
• Support the development of and deliver innovative merchandise presentation direction and standards that support product, brand and consumer strategy for Converse Stores.
• Develop and deliver recaps for all merchandising presentation strategies and initiatives.
• Facilitate the development of visual merchandising standards that support short term and long-term business needs.

COACH AND DEVELOP STORE MANAGEMENT TEAMS

• Oversea the field visual captains to ensure execution and standards are delivered.
• Be the liaison between the field visual captains' team and the DTC marketing teams to ensure seasonal and global strategies are brought together with a strong connection to understanding field realities.
• Support the development of tools for use in training field teams on Converse visual standards and product presentation techniques (including composition, esthetic and business strategies).
• Provide environment of frequent feedback by recapping store implementation of direction. Continually monitor stores to ensure consistency of presentation, providing further direction when needed.
• Develop productive working relationships with District Managers, team members and other business partners to elevate visual presentation within Converse stores.

COMMUNICATION

• Create retail brand / visual merchandising communication to be distributed to the field, including seasonal presentation directives, remodels, new store openings, and insight to action strategies.
• Develop productive working relationships with team members and other business partners to elevate visual presentation within Converse stores.
• Work closely with Merchant team to identify merchandising opportunities.
• Develop and follow work-back schedules to ensure timely delivery of standards and direction to field team.

• Field in-store visual merchandising experience and 3-5 years of Visual Merchandising at the corporate level preferred.
• Ability to pull and dress compelling mannequins, visual design/implementation and effective floor fixture placement.
• Attention to detail, creativity, organization, artistic ability, imagination and great design sense.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision while prioritizing tasks.
• Strong understanding of retail: distribution channels, buying process and merchandising process.
• Computer usage to include Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat and In-Design.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, including presentations.
• Ability to clearly articulate policies and instructions.
• Ability to network and utilize internal and external resources.
• Ability to exercise a high degree of professionalism.
• Ability to influence and work effectively with all levels of a matrix organization. Effectively lead a group to achieve common goals.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a changing retail environment.
