Nike Finance employees play a key role in that progress by identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to drive value for every Nike shareholder. They manage accounting and reporting for Nike's multi-billion-dollar global investment portfolio, debt and equity instruments, and other Treasury activities. They strategize, forecast, audit, analyze, budget, research and lead important decisions. Across Nike's diverse geographies and businesses, Finance employees deliver far more than just the numbers.
Description

As the Customer Finance Manager for Central, you will be responsible supporting the business & processes including but not limited to Account Receivable, claims resolution, month end close reporting. Elevating our partnership with key customers, providing marketplace & account insights to our internal stakeholders to drive profitability.
You'll have a strong knowledge of the Central marketplace, understand local industry trends and have the ability to make tactical adjustments to leverage opportunities for increased profitability. You'll influence across the various workstreams, collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure that our customers receive the service in line with our Customer Finance Service model, whilst managing risk across this market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct management, development and accountability of the team.
  • Effectively balance P&L and Balance sheet needs while supporting & accelerating the Sales Strategy and enabling revenue growth. Reach company's targets in DSO.
  • Support the process of qualitative and quantitative Customer Scoring: bi-annual or quarterly analysis of our top accounts with qualitative and quantitative information such as general presentation, number of stores, ownership, validity of the collaterals in hand, financial scoring based on the most recent quarterly earnings release and the customer scorecard information where available.
  • Present account/territory portfolio financial health updates to Leadership team
  • Mitigating credit risks by proactive cash collection, partnering with the centralized credit management team.
  • Strong Internal Controls and Transparency. First point of contact for External and Internal auditors
  • Resolution of difficult cash collection cases. Collaboration x-functionally with Legal, Sales, Customer Ops Departments
  • Deliver clear and timely insights into management reporting pack
  • Ensure financial goals and objectives are consistently met; coach and mentor team members and consistently strive to raise the bar.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Finance/Accounting related field
  • At least 5 years of relevant credit management experience
  • Commercial & Financial acumen/decision making
  • Ability to challenge, negotiation and influence skills
  • Advanced Excel skills required and analytical capability
  • Ability to solve complex problems; delve into details when required; take a new perspective using existing solutions
  • Strong at building relationships and ability to work with remote teams
  • Flexibility and ability to work in an ambiguous & changing environment
  • Fluent written & spoken English and German is a prerequisite
  • Effective communicator and influencer.
  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus
