Description

As our Demand Planner, you will develop detailed style demand forecasts (Net DP) and financial projections used by Sales, Merchandising, Sourcing and Supply Planning teams to drive critical business processes. You will determine style forecasts based on merchandising assortment plans, statistical forecasting inputs, and historical trends with inventory profitability goals.

Key accountabilities;
  • Analyze internal demand information and market & delivery performance through statistical analysis and data-driven decision making tools. May involve compiling data and reports or being a consumer of such data in order to support decision making.
  • Through forecasting and analytics may set, review, reconcile and/or execute demand, source and supply plans in partnership with the Inventory Planning teams.
  • Create visibility of change requests and provide recommendations for process improvements. Develop or support process management excellence to ensure timeliness and accuracy of critical information, events and procedures.

  • Develop, integrate and provide forecasts for internal operations. Involved in addressing forecast variances and improving forecasting accuracy.
  • Analyze internal demand information and market & delivery performance through statistical analysis and data-driven decision making tools. May involve compiling data and reports or being a consumer of such data in order to support decision making.
  • Through forecasting and analytics may set, review, reconcile and/or execute demand, source and supply plans in partnership with the Inventory Planning teams.
  • Create visibility of change requests and provide recommendations for process improvements. Develop or support process management excellence to ensure timeliness and accuracy of critical information, events and procedures.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field (2 additional years' experience may be accepted in lieu of degree)
  • 2 years of directly relevant work experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • High level of proficiency with MS Office, including Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets
  • Strong information seeking skills
  • Detail oriented and self-motivated, with strong organizational skills (multi-tasking)
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a diverse group
  • Understanding of Sports, Retail, Digital and FMCG/Fashion Industry preferred
  • Understanding of Integrated Business Planning preferred
  • Experience with SAP/APO, Cognos or other advanced planning systems preferred
