Description

Are you a creative visionary, with a passion for storytelling, innovative design, conceptual thinking, the latest in digital channels and emerging technologies? Do you have a love of culture and passion to make sport a daily habit? Do you want to push and challenge the way that brands market and reach their audiences in new ways?

If the answer is yes, Nike is seeking a strong creative leader to create a host of digitally focused editorial content. We are looking for candidates with a love of interactive creative applications & conceptual solutions, who will bring fresh, contemporary ideas and creativity emotionally engage Nike's consumers and community members.

As the Creative Lead for Editorial, you'll create or expand on existing creative concepts that reflect Nike's design philosophy and inspire targeted consumers. You will lead and craft editorial content with the intent that they will go live on Nike channels and beyond. You'll have the opportunity to research consumer/athlete and market needs based on an editorial content brief.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the editorial writing lead for Editorial to set the creative vision for editorial storytelling for Nike Women
  • Produce cutting edge editorial content, and a master-level understanding of design, including typography and layout
  • Partner with Content Strategists/Editors and other stakeholders to develop and sharpen briefs and lead collaborative idea generation for editorial storytelling for the Nike Women
  • Lead and translate briefs and marketing plans into creative applications that are clearly articulated in moodboards, interactive prototypes and comps then develop presentations and storytelling vehicles to socialize and gain buy-in on your ideas
  • Keep a pulse of culture / sport / world to innovate in creative thinking, leadership and creative execution to push the Editorial Creative team into a new era
  • Share knowledge, experience and skill with other design staff; work with design counterparts to ensure continuity across initiatives, categories, and projects

Skills:

  • Expert in developing integrated marketing and editorial strategies leveraging the latest trends in digital, physical and emerging channels

  • Expert in art direction and production, visual design, motion design and user experience design combined with solid knowledge of how to leverage today's digital channels and emerging technologies

  • Ability to present and sell-in creative concepts and execution ideas with senior leaders and internal and external stakeholders

  • Manage expectations & relationships across different functions

  • Depth of experience working with interactive creative, usability, interaction design and engineering

  • Expert-level knowledge of current trends in color, technology, communications, experience, art and other design influences

  • Effective communication and influencing skills

  • Naturally curious and drive for results

  • Expert in creative use of social media and emerging mediums

  • Leadership skills to energize rally creative team (optimism / motivation) be the force for change



Qualifications
  • Managed creative team/teams
  • Experience in sport/lifestyle product marketing for women
  • Bachelor's degree or focus in design; communication design, advertising design or interaction design
  • Expertise working with digital platforms, emerging technologies and in-real-life experiences
  • Passion for Editorial and story-telling design
  • Proficiency in Mac OSX, Keynote, Microsoft Office and Acrobat, InDesign, Ill
  • Travel 10% of the time
  • Experience working with sport/lifestyle brands, is preferred
