As our Footwear Design Director of Athlete and Impact Initiatives - Nike Fuel, you'll work in concert with the SR Creative Design Director to establish and drive design vision, direction and execution across the Cause Marketing and Athlete subcategories. You'll lead and inspire the design team to execute product concepts and design while contributing to business leadership. You'll also maintain hands on involvement in product design and development of design strategies. You'll be capable of designing any product in the Category or Division, with emphasis on innovative product. In addition to a small internal team you will also be responsible for mentoring and managing the new Serena Williams Design Crew footwear design apprentices.

This opportunity allows you to create the short- and long-term design vision and strategies for the Athlete and Impact Initiatives subcategories; develop strong consumer-oriented points of view and lead the design team in executing the vision in seasonal product launches.

You'll lead or participate in Key Brand and Footwear Initiatives - design through execution. You'll champion product design integrity, encompassing innovation, quality and performance and drive the commercial portfolio with other members of the category and divisional leadership teams. You'll communicate on design vision, results and stories to a variety of audiences and manage presentation projects at all stages. You'll bring innovation into the category through strategy and execution with the advanced concept groups and confer with others to increase efficiencies and ensure design excellence.

You'll manage the category design resources, processes and customer/client relations to ensure project standards and timelines are met. You'll also create and manage your own seasonal/annual project load and you may work on cross-categorical projects.

• Bachelor's degree in a design-related discipline, or 2 additional years' or

relevant work experience in lieu of a degree

• Minimum 8 years' experience in a design-related role, including 2 years' in a

management/leadership role

• 5 years' as a senior or lead design in a corporate setting or design firm

preferred

• Experience in international markets preferred

• Drawing, sketching 2D and 3D capability or ability to learn

• Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, Email and Outlook

• Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
