Description

Are you a creative with a passion for innovative design, the latest digital channels and emerging technologies? Do you want to be at the nexus of sport and culture? Do you have a love of interactive design solutions from user experience and typography to photography and illustration to environmental design? Do you have an interest in creating mulit-cultural diverse campaigns that are cutting edge for territories around the Globe?

If the answer is yes, Nike is seeking a strong visual designers to create a host of focused marketing and communication experiences. We are looking for candidates with a love of unconventional design solutions who will bring fresh ideas, creativity and the use of interactive media to emotionally engage Nike's consumers and community members from different cultural backgrounds and ethnicities around the Globe.

As a Design 1 for APLA, you will craft multiple projects as part of the design studio. You'll be responsible for helping to drive large scale, cross-functional design programs working in collaboration with marketing, creative leaders and fellow designers, producers, writers and agency partners to develop and execute ideas across all channels such as social, Nike Apps, nike.com, retail, event activations and large scale sport moments. This is an exciting time to be in Nike Brand Design as we are revolutionizing how we work, how we grow and develop talent and how we communicate with our consumers and members in multiple regions and territories.

ACCOUNTABILITES:
  • Under the direction of a Senior Designer, Art Director, Design Director or Creative Director, creates original design solutions for 2D and 3D execution for consumer experiences: graphics, retail, digital.
  • Communicates and present design concepts to team/leader/director.
  • Creates presentation materials that effectively communicate design concepts.
  • Works with Brand Design leadership and
  • Brand Marketing partners to ensure feasibility of designs, budget, functiona needs (digital, retail, brand comms.) and overall program needs.
  • Produces directives and electronic files for production purposes.
  • Actively gains knowledge and experience regarding Nike's design ethos, the Nike matrix, products and processes. 
  • Gains knowledge of current trends in consumer experience and technology and other related design influencers.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic, Architectural or Industrial Design, with minimum of 0-5 years' experience. Ability to apply and perform design skills including concepting, drawing/sketching, typography, ideation, color theory, texture, special design in scale and visual presentation.
  • Familiarity with current trends, color, design, art, photography and experience design.
  • Effectively use computer design applications including Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills in local market language.
  • Proficient information-seeking skills and drive for results.
