Description

The Nike Valiant Labs Studio is a collection of subject matter experts working together with our Nike entrepreneurs to strategically generate new business concepts thru Human Centered Design (HCD) practices, test start-up concepts using a Lean Startup approach and push to find Product-Market-Fit by piloting new business concepts in market.

The Digital Growth Manager leads the development and implementation of lean testing and digital acquisition strategies for the new businesses within Nike Valiant Labs. As a subject matter expert, you will guide Entrepreneurs on thoughtful strategies to reach target customers, with a focus on remaining frugal, nimble and sharing the latest approaches across a variety of marketing channels based on deep consumer insights.

Once the foundation has been set this up for them, your role is to teach them how to do this independently, when possible.

In this role you will be overseeing multiple campaigns simultaneously. You will help set up accurate, easy-to-use and transparent platforms for each team to measure and report the performance of digital marketing campaigns, leveraging 3rd party applications to increase insights on campaign performance. With your help, teams will track and optimize all campaigns according to agreed upon KPI's. You will work with them to ensure there is comprehensive reporting to highlight the performance of each campaign. You will teach them how to identify trends and insights and optimize spend and performance based on the insights. Along the way, you will brainstorm new and creative growth strategies as you learn from campaign to campaign about what works and what doesn't to attract, transact and/or retain the desired customers.

You are always learning and growing new digital acquisition tools and strategies. You have an insatiable thirst for improving processes and acquisition frameworks. You are pushing the boundaries of what it possible with modern day acquisition techniques using AI and other technology to improve and understanding of consumers and acquisition strategies.

This role is responsible staying on top of the latest digital acquisition and growth strategies. You will bring the best-in-class learnings from startup growth hacking techniques cultivating relationships and knowledge transfer with external startup founders and investors. You will share your learnings thoughtfully, build case studies and a hub of cutting-edge learnings from with the Entrepreneurs can learn. You are doing this regularly and are the source of new knowledge for Entrepreneur teams.


Key Accountabilities:


Building and maintaining cutting edge knowledge of all digital marketing outlets and acquisition channels, including organic growth strategies, paid social, paid search, SEO, product listing ads, email, pre-roll and display, the strengths and weaknesses of each, latest trends and approaches. Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate. Be the initial strategist and implementer of digital acquisitions strategies (organic and inorganic) for entrepreneur teams. Set up dashboards to measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs) -- prioritizing frugality and nimbleness. Guide the entrepreneurs on continuing this work with your ongoing guidance and expertise to enable them to save time and money in reaching their target customers.


Qualifications
  • +5 years of experience working in and with startups practicing lean startup methodologies
  • BS/MS degree in marketing or a related field
  • High level of organizational and communication skills
  • Experience in growth marketing, ideally for consumer brands and e-commerce and has affinity to understand online customer behavior and psychology
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing organic and inorganic campaigns with results across -- paid social, paid search, SEO, PLA, video, email, social media and display advertising campaigns, Adwords, Facebook Ads, other Social Ad platforms etc
  • Experience managing ad spend for brands that have a national a presence
  • Experience working with AI in the context of consumer behavior and/or acquisition
  • Prior experience and success reaching target audiences through digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate, optimizing landing pages and user funnels
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Thorough knowledge of website analytics tools and methodology
  • Experience with ad serving tools and platforms
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
  • Working knowledge of Google Tag Manager preferable
  • Excellent analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
