The DTC Engineering Operations Lead handles several key aspects of the Converse.com and Retail technical operations such as performance management, high traffic product launches, monitoring and production support tools and processes.

This role encompasses maintaining an excellent relationship with various local and in geo business teams to insure good understanding, documentation and follow up of DTC (Direct to Consumer) business peak time and events. The Lead will also help drive critical events such as product launch and holiday period. Specifically, the role will lead preparation, process improvement and handling incidents during critical product launches or peak.

The role will also lead the performance management aspect of our DTC technical operations, working with various teams from technology and business departments to establish reporting capabilities, identify opportunities and drive improvements.

The DTC Tech Operation Lead will be involved in implementing production support tools and best practices and will help run operational processes as needed. For example, but not limited to: maturing monitoring and alerting capabilities, implementation of event management, improve ITSM reporting etc.

The role requires a self-driven and self-motivated personality, with a passion for data and process improvement. This is a new role within the company and the candidates should expect to define and execute the roadmap in this space.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the Digital and Retail business to align on key business driver schedule, drive Support plans accordingly with extended team.
  • Deliver an excellence experience to key stakeholders and customers during key business events.
  • Meet regularly with technical support and product teams to align on priorities, events schedule.
  • Owns Converse.com performance management strategy and execution. Identify conversion rate issues and provide feedback to our business partners.
  • Owns monitoring and alerting tools implementation for DTC landscape.
  • Maintains a calendar of key events for Digital and Retail business.
  • Handle key vendor relationships related to monitoring and performance management tooling.
  • Focus on continual process improvement.
  • Maintain communication with business leadership on areas of responsibility.
  • Act as a team player.


  • Experience with Point-of-sale and/or Salesforce platforms
  • Ability to communicate technical issues or details to non-technical partners.
  • Must be able to handle challenging priorities at a fast pace.
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with geographically diverse teams.
  • Some experience with managing and implementing monitoring and alerting tools, such as New Relic, Splunk, Big Panda, EM7, GTMetrics, mPulse
  • Experience with Akamai WAF a plus
  • Experience with data visualization tools such a Tableau or Power BI a plus
  • Experience with IT Service Management (ITIL V3 Foundation or higher) a plus
  • Occasional travel may be required.
