From infrastructure to security and supply chain operations, Technology specialists drive growth through top-flight hardware, software and enterprise applications. Simply put, without Nike Technology, there are no Nike products. The Air Manufacturing Innovation (AirMI) Technology team needs a strong Agile Program Director who, in partnership with Business Owners, Product Managers and Customers, will lead a self-organizing and self-managing program in applying and optimizing Agile practices to maximize program value, performance and effectiveness while mentoring and developing a team of direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Operates as a team-based servant leader who enables the team to self-organize, self-manage and deliver for the program at the highest level.
• Builds and governs detailed program budgets, top down, bottoms up.
• Drives the program in the coordination of major feature releases and helps ensure ongoing delivery of value to customers where multiple teams are involved.
• Facilitates program level processes and execution, identifies and manages dependencies and risks, as well as escalates impediments.
• Facilitates iterative program level planning ceremonies (such as Product Owner Syncs, Scrum of Scrums, Inspect and Adapt, Program Increment Planning, and System Demos).
• Facilitates alignment and assists Product Owners, Product Managers and Agile teams with making appropriate commitments.
• Manages and optimizes the flow of value via cross organization collaboration.
• Drives the Product Owners, Product Managers and Agile teams to facilitate release planning preparedness.
• Accountable for the program execution and delivery of work (schedule/capacity). Promotes continuous improvement by coaching the team to use the metrics to identify/measure progress and increase effectiveness of the application of Scrum on delivery execution.
• Monitors and reports program health (i.e., progress of feature completion, program predictability) with the purpose to provide transparency on program delivery of value.
• Sets standard to tracks and communicates agile metrics (such as team velocity and sprint progress/burn down chart) to team, management and any impacted stakeholders.
• Coaches and leads the program team in practicing Agile principles and leading practices, identify program/team training opportunities and solution/facilitate as needed.
• Coaches and mentors leadership in Lean/Agile best practices and mindset.
• Manages, mentors, and inspires a team; managing performance, goals and development potential.
• Partner with Program Portfolio Management, Product Owners and other value steam stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment.
• Leads and executes business and tech-facing program communication strategies.

• Advanced understanding of Agile Principles and how they're applied in workplace culture
• Advanced facilitation, coaching and mentoring skills
• Advanced ability leading teams through resolution of complex program issues
• Advanced communication, team dynamics, conflict resolution, mentoring and servant leadership skills
• In-depth understanding of technology systems and the program's ecosystem
• In-depth understanding of lean and program budgets
• In-depth understanding of PMO adjacent skills including transition management, learning and development and best-at transformational operating practices.
• Experience in leading teams through resolution of program issues.
• Experience in transformational technical and operational change through and across organizational structures.
• Strong facilitation, presentation, conflict-resolution, influencing and communication skills, both written and oral, across all levels of technical and business audiences.
• Experience and success in global highly matrixed and collaborative team-oriented environments.
• History of being self-directed, results orientated with demonstrated ability to achieve aggressive goals despite ambiguity and multiple competing priorities.

• Previous management experience required
• Minimum 8 years relevant work experience
• Expert with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools
• Experience with other agile methodologies, LEAN, Kanban, XP Programming etc.
• Relevant certification preferred
