Marketing, Marketing & Communications

The Nike, Inc. Communications team develops, establishes and strengthens authentic connections with diverse audiences through the lens of innovation and sport. The team creates premium and innovative brand stories, builds and enhances corporate reputation and brand equity, and engages audiences such as consumers, media, athletes, investors, non-governmental organizations and Nike's own employees. The team focuses on information, inspiration and connection to accelerate the growth of Nike, Inc. Communications employees ignite conversations, envision the possibilities, and influence and deliver new levels of creative and strategic thinking to advance the brand around the world.
Description

As the Director, NRG Brand EAST/NYC , you will be responsible for pushing the edges of the brand by leveraging the impact of relationship and sport culture to enable new/or existing audiences. You will create brand energy to enhance equity and demand for Nike pinnacle products and key stories in NYC & the East Coast territories. Your main mission will be to cultivate strategic direction, leadership, inspiration and management in the creation and implementation of product distribution, marketing and communication.

Key within this role is to encourage and empower a team to create a deep network of influencers across sport, culture and innovation, to leverage across the brand and category plans within the identified territory.


  • Develops a capable network of influencers across sport, culture and innovation

  • Creates clear journeys for every influencer to ensure optimum service and maximum leverage

  • G uides all legal and contractual needs with influencers 

  • C ollaborates with categories and functions to create the most effective influencer marketing calendar & plans which creates the future for the Nike and fuels the categories. 

  • Identifies ongoing collaboration opportunities (product, content, experience) to ensure Nike innovates in the way sport empowers culture and culture empowers sport. 

  • Leads the Brands plans for all territory collaborations 

  • Guides the vision, plan and calendar against the influencer spaces 

  • Manages budget for all influencer marketing executions and spaces effectively 

  • Manages the two-way partnership with NA teams to ensure territory insights against trends, influencers & products are clearly understood and used to benefit influencer & territory plans. 

  • Create inspiration internally and externally for the Influencer function 

  • Be the thought leader, challenger and creative thinker within the territory. 



Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline
  • 8+ years' progressive management experience with a combination of corporate retail, visual merchandising, product merchandising, brand marketing and retail sales
  • 8+ years of work experience in advertising, media, journalism, digital platforms, consumer electronics, user experience design, and/or fashion and digital retail.
  • Marketing implementation experience in territory or geo
  • Experience developing cross-channel marketing campaigns in fashion, retail, lifestyle, youth marketing, entertainment, health and/or tech fields.
  • Demonstrated ability to put content in front of consumers
  • Live the function: have a meaningful point of view on digital platforms/commerce and a deep knowledge of the latest trends. Candidates should personally use mobile apps, social media, blogs and wearable tech regularly
  • Concrete experience managing complex projects and programs that have heavy dependencies requiring thorough leadership to align multiple teams and stakeholders 
  • High attention to detail including demonstrated ability to document requirements and to care for multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to think strategically and ask the right, sometimes difficult questions.
  • Deep team-orientation, no egos allowed! 
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills
  • A keen eye for design with creative passion.
