The Consumer Order Management technology team is responsible for the consumer experience from order creation through order delivery and beyond. This team ensures that consumers value Nike for great service and focus on delivery excellence as well as for great products that helps every consumer be the best athlete they can be.

This team obsesses every consumer interaction to reduce friction throughout the consumer journey. This team will drive the post purchase experience roadmap in alignment with Digital Product and Fulfillment Operations to help prioritize and deliver the solutions that service consumers on their terms.

The Director of Marketplace Order Management team works with multiple product teams to orchestrate complex initiatives from idea to concept and prototyping through development and delivery. The successful candidate must be able to find the intersection of consumer needs, technical feasibility, and business objectives, and then lead a cross-functional team to deliver against the opportunity.

The Director will partner with stakeholders to gather product insights, prioritize work and ensure alignment. The successful candidate will work closely with Global and Geo Operations, Consumer Knowledge, Customer Services, Financials, Design, Engineering, QA, Release Management and stakeholder teams to build and deliver solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the solution and delivery for the Consumer Order Management Technology space;
  • Participate in scoping new business problems using your knowledge and experience with ecommerce order management, order to cash cycles, and supply chain execution systems to identify the best solution. Develop resource and cost estimates based on your experience and insights from the delivery squads;
  • Drive the overall business and systems analysis on various projects, working with other agile team members while also contributing individually to achieve results;
  • Lead requirements elicitation sessions including use of interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, and using the systems under analysis to deliver functional and non-functional requirements;
  • Identify all impacts to business process and systems through impact analysis of new requirements and solution designs;
  • Facilitate integration with 3rd party products and services;
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Product Teams to implement the agreed upon vision;
  • Communicate and align strategy with key internal and external stakeholders;
  • Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, technical constraints and business drivers;
  • Lead multiple engineering teams to deliver products to market;
  • Execute full range of lifecycle management, from enhancements to new development;
  • Ensure alignment with the overall business strategy;
  • Manage critical vendor relationships;
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders at Director, Senior Director and executive leadership levels within the Nike business and technology organizations;
  • Overcome any obstacle in your path and deliver awesome.


  • A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Management or other relevant area, or two years' experience in lieu of degree
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in retail/digital commerce order to cash cycle and/or supply chain execution systems; 15+ years' experience preferred;
  • Experience and/or exposure to solutions involving IBM Sterling, SAP AFS/FMS, ERP packages, and Manhattan OMS/WMS is required;
  • Experience on commercial supply chain execution and financial ERP systems;
  • Proactive, solutions-orientation with a history of solving unique, complex problems that have a broad, inter-connected impact on the business;
  • Demonstrated ability to lead high performance cross-functional teams across multiple onshore, nearshore and offshore locations;
  • Ability to execute methodically while also thinking strategically;
  • Strong team-orientation;
  • Superior verbal and written communications skills;
  • Experience working with both B2C and B2B Commerce models is preferred;
  • Experience with commercial packages deployed in public cloud infrastructure is preferred;
  • Exposure to Footwear and Fashion verticals is preferred.
