The Global Director, Process Excellence is a key leader helping to run the Converse Controlling global offense. You will help to manage the strategy, tools, processes and operating model structure that our team deploys to meet the complex needs of our growing global business. End to end thinking from strategy to value-chain to economic models is critical to success in this role.

This role will be responsible for developing and operationalizing a functional strategy that balances the demands of the business, and our key business partners, and continues to elevate the role of Controlling at Converse. The Global Director, Process Excellence will need to be an articulate and thoughtful strategic thinker who is comfortable managing competing priorities and stakeholders. A successful candidate will be transformational with a meaningful focus on global process standardization and enablement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Chief partner to the Converse Global Controller and Chief Financial Officer to develop and implement the functional strategy
• Provide technical and team guidance for the Process Excellence team and stakeholders
• Partner closely with leaders in Controlling, Finance and the business to identify opportunities for improvement and implement cross-functional transformational initiatives
• Partner closely with Nike Global Controlling on their strategic initiatives and identify key enablers available to improve our process areas in line with overall functional strategic direction
• Work with our technology team to identify required enhancements and prioritize the development of technology enhancements to improve our business process
• Define and establish global standards and tools to support continuous improvement initiatives across finance groups and business process areas.
• Develop a framework to provide objective insight into process improvement (efficiency/effectiveness) for processes impacting the finance process group
• Operate a structured PMO to prioritize investments toward the most critical, strategically aligned, and impactful initiatives
• Guides and develop a leadership bench that can act as the leadership pipeline of future Finance and Controlling leaders at Converse and Nike
• Work with our business partners to develop meaningful financial process and control across the Converse business


Qualifications
• CPA and/or MBA preferred but not required
• At least 5+ years of experience in a consulting and/or process improvement role
• Industry experience with a Fortune 500/multinational consumer products company is preferred but not required
• Self-motivated, detailed and deadline-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to seamlessly handle multiple priorities and stakeholders
• Creative problem-solving skills and strategic planning acumen
• Must have the ability to understand, design & coordinate the implementation of new processes and systems
• Ability to remain organized in a fast-paced environment at a growing company
• Commitment to quality and a commitment to own the issues and ensure their successful resolution
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• Excellent MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau preferred
