Responsibilities:
  • Define and communicate a vision and roadmap for Data Asset Management Capabilities for Nike including data catalog, business glossary, lineage and workflow; ensuring alignment to company strategies
  • Accountable for the prioritization and delivery of value drops continually improving Nike's Data Asset Management products
  • Define Epics for Data Asset Management products, handle and prioritize the Program backlog on an ongoing basis
  • Work with stakeholders to define Features from Epics
  • Understand current and future customer needs, define features, resolve success criteria, validate solutions, and evaluate customer satisfaction
  • Own all process, tools and resources required to support data governance capabilities within the data asset management space
  • Ensure teams have the full context and understanding of customers and business environment to create valuable solutions
  • Provide oversight of strategy, technical, and transition management aspects
  • Collaborate on data governance procedures and adherence
  • Create and maintain Data Governance process documentation and data governance policies
  • Document processes using standard tools and procedures and publish these standard processes to ensure universal compliance
  • Assess the business impact of different solutions and the trade-offs between customer needs, technology requirements and costs
  • Collaborate with Release Management to determine the optimum release strategy and Product Owners to optimize Feature delivery to the customers
  • Analyze and communicate customer adoption, performance, time to market, quality and other metrics to stakeholders
  • Ensure Program priorities have necessary funding and review cost of accepted features
  • Build an effective Product Manager/Product Owner team and partnership with stakeholders
  • Understand how features are performing, the level of customer satisfaction, and provide suggestions for improvements
  • Manages, mentors, and inspires a team; handling performance, goals and development


Required:
• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field.
One of the following alternatives may be accepted:
PhD or Law + 6 yr;
Masters + 7 yrs;
Associates + 9 yrs;
High School + 10 yrs exp
• 8 years of relevant professional experience
• workplace culture
• Has an in-depth expertise in own discipline as well as broad knowledge of other disciplines
• In-depth knowledge of the relation between business process and the Products in the Program
• Excellent collaboration and relationship management
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence others internally and externally
• Experience resolving issues with higher levels of management
• Experience leading cross-functional work
• Proven ability to respond to and prioritize changing demands effectively
• Experience leading others in resolving complex issues
• Advanced critical thinking and ability to creatively solve complex, unique problems with large business impact
• Identify and resolve complex, technical operational and organizational problems
• Strong in strategic thinking
• Address current and future customer needs through innovative solutions
• Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve both process and people related issues

Preferred:
• Experience with VersionOne preferred
• Experience with implementing Data Asset Management capabilities including data catalog, business glossary and lineage
• Experience with technologies such as Collibra, Alation, Informatica, etc.
