The Nike, Inc. Communications team develops, establishes and strengthens authentic connections with diverse audiences through the lens of innovation and sport. The team creates premium and innovative brand stories, builds and enhances corporate reputation and brand equity, and engages audiences such as consumers, media, athletes, investors, non-governmental organizations and Nike's own employees. The team focuses on information, inspiration and connection to accelerate the growth of Nike, Inc. Communications employees ignite conversations, envision the possibilities, and influence and deliver new levels of creative and strategic thinking to advance the brand around the world.
Description

As the Retail Brand Concepts Director, Nike Live and Nike Fly, you will lead the evolution of Nike Live and Nike Fly strategies that align with and support business and brand plans. You will develop and orchestrate Retail Brand, Visual Merchandising & Styling, and Stores Marketing end in mind omni-channel retail concept frameworks that strengthen a unique in-store experience for the Nike Nike Live and Nike Fly store concepts. You will be accountable for catalyzing exceptional retail experiences that ultimately inspire, strengthen and serve the geographies, territories and key cites.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of briefs for new Nike Live and Nike Fly store concepts in behalf of the Global Nike Direct Stores Brand team and partners with Global Retail Concepts, Nike Direct Merchandising, Store Design & Retail Brand Design teams to deliver against the strategic vision.
  • Develop seasonal strategies for Nike Live and Nike Fly store concepts through an intentional omni-channel approach, integrating Nike Direct Stores Brand disciplines: Retail Brand, Visual Merchandising & Styling and Stores Marketing.
  • Partner with Stores Marketing to develop and deploy programs that drive quality consumer traffic to stores.
  • Partner with Retail Brand Categories, Visual Merchandising & Styling and Stores Marketing partners to develop, facilitate and implement an inspiring and integrated in-store member first journey.
  • Collaborate with Stores Marketing and Digital Product teams to bring key services to life across Nike Live and Nike Fly stores (e.g. Nike App @ Retail and Nike by You).
  • Deliver fewer, bigger, bolder product stories that amass firepower against our most important innovations.
  • Primary point of contact for Nike Live and Nike Fly Stores geography partners.
  • Own and facilitate the functional gameplan and concept process.
  • Inspire, empower & serve geos with strategies, resources and guidance passionate about enabling flawless implementation for Nike Direct priorities.
  • Proactively partner to capture & apply consumer first, data inspired retail insights.
  • Probe and mine capabilities and foster a test and learn mindset that informs future strategies. 
  • Lead and cultivate global best practices and standards. Capture and deploy geo and city key learnings for broader scale
  • Leverage and apply geo and city insights to inform future strategies to dominate key cites and doors.
  • Lead and develop a premier global team with a focus on unleashing creativity & maximizing human potential.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Communications, Merchandising, etc.)
  • 10+ years work experience in the following (or a combination of): Retail Marketing, Digital Marketing, Visual merchandising, Retail Space Planning, Event/Experience Design
  • 2 additional years required in lieu of a degree
  • Affinity for sport, fashion and omni channel retail
  • In-depth knowledge of the Global Marketplace with an understanding of the competitive market, consumers and retail trends
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly and work in a constantly evolving environment, making judgment calls and shifts as needed
  • High-level thinker with excellent attention to detail and commitment to excellence
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including meeting facilitation
  • Capable of understanding challenges or underlying concerns and develop effective responses or elevate to higher management
  • Prior management experience leading projects and a team
  • Prior experience in the fashion or sportswear industry
  • Multi-tasking capabilities, with ability to project manage and/or work on a variety of different projects and workstreams at one time
  • Excellent people skills, diplomacy and collaborative spirit
Technical Skills/Programs
  • Proficient in Keynote & PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite
