Equipment Engineer II - Air MI

Nike Air MI is a highly technical producer of engineered plastic components for Nike footwear, and other applications.

As our Equipment Engineer II, you will support the daily manufacturing engineering needs of our production of Nike Air products. You will participate in, and manage equipment projects to support our growing capacity requirements. You will conduct and mange safety related and continuous improvement projects. You will combine design skill, equipment knowledge, and project management ability to be successful individually and as a team contributor. You will interact with process engineering and production staff to implement solutions, and to manage projects.

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering
  • 3 years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing production environment
  • 8 additional years' directly related work experience may be considered in lieu of the degree
  • Design skill, specifically AutoCad and Solid Works.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment knowledge.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects and priorities.
  • Electrical knowledge is a plus.
  • Plastics industry experience is a plus.
  • Good teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Exposure to Lean manufacturing principles preferred
  • Possess a detailed and methodical approach to problem solving
  • Ability to work with associates of all levels including directors, managers, engineers, machine operators, quality technicians, line supervisors, and maintenance technicians
