The Nike, Inc. Communications team develops, establishes and strengthens authentic connections with diverse audiences through the lens of innovation and sport. The team creates premium and innovative brand stories, builds and enhances corporate reputation and brand equity, and engages audiences such as consumers, media, athletes, investors, non-governmental organizations and Nike's own employees. The team focuses on information, inspiration and connection to accelerate the growth of Nike, Inc. Communications employees ignite conversations, envision the possibilities, and influence and deliver new levels of creative and strategic thinking to advance the brand around the world.
Description

The Communications Manager for Ethics and Compliance will help lead and drive our global storytelling in this space and will be part of the Global Employee Communications team.

The role will be responsible for coordinating and supporting communications related to ethics and compliance in partnership with the Chief Compliance Officer and her team with a key focus on creating and delivering ethics and compliance communications strategies, messaging and content. The work will include: extensive writing including story maps, Q&As when relevant, and executive leadership support.

The role will also be responsible for:

Helping to developing highly innovative and targeted communications strategies, messages and tactics that engage and deliver against Nike's ethics and compliance offense

Helping to manage messaging around Nike's ethics and compliance policies and trainings, provide guidance and support on the design and content of global corporate policies

Developing ongoing relationships with business partners and subject matter owners across a range of Nike functions and teams to ensure roll out of policies, trainings and communications related to ethics and compliance are managed effectively

Communications expertise and support for key projects driven or managed by the Ethics and Compliance team globally

Supporting the Chief Compliance officer's executive communications including events where appropriate

Creating briefing materials for executives, tracking timelines and lead internal and external approval processes where appropriate

Driving digital communication strategies including creating plans to integrate content with relevant Intranet channels

The candidate should have strong experience in message development and work in digital combined with excellent writing skills. This role requires a strong communicator across a variety of channels, particularly websites.


Qualifications
7+ years professional experience in high profile corporate communications or public relations roles supporting globally branded organizations.

Bachelor's degree (minimum) in journalism, PR, English, communications, business, or related field required; or 2 additional years experience in lieu of a degree.

Proven ability to communicate plans across a complex matrix on a corporate, regional and functional basis, including presenting before audiences of various sizes and cultures and working effectively in cross functional teams.

Experience initiating and driving the ideation process contributing meaningful, innovative strategies to the business at concept stage.

Successful experience in working effectively at a senior level and a proven ability to help provide guidance and direction to peers.

Experience leading Communications strategy for major events, media/PR and across multiple vendor relationships preferred.

Deep understanding of both evolving consumer communications environment and digital landscape.

Knowledge of footwear or apparel industry is preferred.

Experience working on high profile consumer brands is preferred.

Ability to Travel, 5-10%
