The Converse merchandising team obsesses our consumer needs and are industry leaders in creating the right product mix in the marketplace across the globe. They blend art with science to bring the Converse vision to life in our physical and digital retail environments to ensure a premium category consumer experience.

GLOBAL MERCHANDISING OPERATIONS, PLANNING AND ANALYTICS

The Global Merchandising Operations, Planning and Analytics team works closely with cross-functional partners to support and enable both Global and Geography Merchandising teams through the management and ongoing development of key processes, systems and tools, as well as providing strategic, operational and tactical support throughout key milestones in the product creation process. The team is forward oriented, leveraging digital tools and process innovation to drive efficiency and effectiveness across our function, maximizing our impact on the marketplace.

As a Merchandising Information Coordinator (MIC), you will play a key role within the Merchandising Operations team as well as the Global Brand Merchandising team through accurate management and governance of merchandising related line plan and assortment data. In doing so, timely communication of relevant updates across Global and Geo Merchandising teams as well as other key cross functional partners is key.

ONCE HERE YOU WILL:
  • Work closely with both Brand Merchandising and Merchandising Planning, driving process and operational excellence as we work through the different gates of our product creation process.
  • Identify potential issues and opportunities in the early stages of the product creation process and drive these towards resolution in close collaboration with your cross-functional partners.
  • Align with our cross-functional partners to lead data across both product creation and assortment visualization systems
  • Develop a deep understanding of seasonal strategies, our segmentation offense and assortment process that will help land the Converse vision in the marketplace.
  • Play a pivotal role in supporting our Brand Merchandising teams as they prepare for key milestone meetings and assure a comprehensive follow-up coming out of these meetings, working back with both global and geography teams.
  • Provide support for key strategic projects as well as the ongoing evolution of the key systems and processes that enable our work as merchants.
  • Translate business data and concepts into actionable insights throughout our Product Lifecycle Management process
  • As a key contributor to the Merchandising Data Architecture, create processes and standards that govern which data is collected and how it is stored, arranged, integrated, and put into use in data systems.
  • Provide product performance information through data analytics and visualization


YOU REPORT INTO THE SR MANAGER GLOBAL MERCHANDISING OPERATIONS

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree or additional 2 years of experience in lieu of degree
  • Relevant experience in business / operations / process roles (preferably in a Product, Merchandising, Retail or Buying context) is a plus
  • Affinity for analytics and passion for our product and consumer
  • Strong team player, able to establish and manage cross-functional partnerships
  • Solution oriente
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and evolve
  • Ability to work independently, while balancing multiple priorities at once and meet tight deadlines
  • Tolerance for ambiguity
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint (experience with SQL, Tableau or product creation software is a plus)
