As the Retail Brand Category Director, Sportswear, you will lead the orchestration of the holistic and connected consumer journey for stores globally. You will be responsible for setting and leading the seasonal offense for Nike Direct Stores and driving a new era of consumer led storytelling powered by insights and will drive omni-channel consumer experiences leading with experience and activity, powered by product. You will be the global conduit and connector of best in class retail experiences that ultimately inspire, empower and serve the geographies, territories and key cities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop category strategies for the omni-channel journey at Nike Direct Stores through an intentional and integrated offense powered through the category gameplan process (seasonal planning process).

- Drive distinction through authentic category and brand moments, product storytelling and member experiences that connect across innovation, sport and culture.

- Lead the development of the holistic product storytelling journeys against Brand Defining, Category Defining & Editorial stories leveraging principles and approach to harmonize storytelling and retail experiences.

- In partnership with Retail Brand Concepts, Stores Marketing, Visual Merchandising & Styling and Consumer Education teams, develop and drive an in-store member first strategy through the lens of category and consumer mindsets.

- Partner with Stores Marketing to develop and drive fully integrated seasonal activation plans that provide elevated experiences to consumers and drive traffic to stores.

- Deliver the category journey across multiple seasons aligned to the brand voice and defined seasonal KPI's.

- Inspire, empower & serve geos with strategies, tools and guidance focused on enabling flawless execution for Nike Direct priorities.

- Partner with Consumer Direct Sciences on creation of learning agendas or enable data to inform strategies.

- Probe and mine capabilities and foster a test and learn mindset that informs future strategies.

- Lead and drive global best practices and standards. Capture and deploy geo and city key learnings for broader scale

- Leverage and apply geo and city insights to inform future strategies to dominate key cites and doors.

- Lead and develop a world class global team with a focus on unleashing creativity & maximizing human potential.

• A Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Communications, Merchandising, etc.)
• 8+ years work experience in the following (or a combination of): Retail/Digital Marketing, Visual merchandising, Retail Space Planning, Event/Experience Design
• 2 additional years required in lieu of a degree
• In-depth knowledge of the Global Marketplace with an understanding of the competitive market, consumers and retail trends
• Prior management experience leading projects and a team
• Prior experience in fashion or sportswear industry
• High-level thinker with strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence
• Excellent oral and written communication skills including meeting facilitation
• Multi-tasking capabilities, with ability to project manage and/or work on a variety of different projects and workstreams at one time
• Strong people skills, diplomacy and collaborative spirit
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly and work in a constantly evolving environment, making judgment calls and shifts as needed
• Capable of understanding challenges or underlying concerns and develop effective responses or elevate to higher management
• Affinity for sport, fashion and retail

Technical Skills/Programs

• Proficient in Keynote & Powerpoint
• Knowledge of Adobe Suite
