Description

Every successful team at Nike needs a brilliant game plan. The HR Delivery Operations team partners with HR Business Partners and Centers of Excellence to shape & drive the business' team and talent agenda. Embedded in teams across the company, HR Delivery Operations serves as critical thought partners to our senior Human Resources leaders while developing action plans to galvanize our teams. With top talent and the DNA to catalyze action, the HR Delivery Operations team helps ensure our vision of excellence is realized through thoughtful planning and coordinated delivery.

As the HR Delivery Operations Director supporting our North America HR team, you will be reporting to the Senior Director for Consumer & Marketplace HR Delivery Operations and will support the VP for North America HR. The director will be responsible for long-range strategic planning, short-range annual planning, and the integration and synchronization of the delivery of HR programs and solutions to employees in North America. In addition, you will be serving as North America HR's chief of staff, leading the planning and facilitation of team meetings and offsites while keeping the team organized with an effective operating model. This position will be located at our WHQ in Beaverton, Oregon.

As our HR Delivery Operations Director for North America HR, you'll display your collaborative ability to lead through and influence others, create the future through strategic planning and global thinking, demonstrate proficiency in high-profile communications and group facilitation, and deliver results through strong initiative, organization, and results-orientation.

Accountabilities:

Plan and Integrate the HR Offense
• Influence the development of the Enterprise HR Annual Plan by stewarding HRBP (& biz) insights, & desired outcomes from Business HR Teams. Influence priorities & initiatives for maximum business benefits.
• Drive the development of each Business HR Team's Strategic Plan and Annual Operating Plan - linking strategy to priorities, initiatives, & value 'drops' - calibrated through regular updating of an integrated Business HR Calendar.
• Embed the Annual Operating Plan into each Business HR Team's Operating Model for HRBP awareness, understanding, advocacy, and readiness to maximize launch benefits.
• Serve as 'Chief of Staff' by elevating VPHR to focus on delivering business results. Serve as a strategic thought-partner to the team, coordinate flow of information to and through team, keep team oriented against highest priorities, and provide overall organization to the HR Team Offense.

Plan and Execute HR's GTM Experiences

• Steward HRBP (& biz) insights back to the HR COEs early in the initiative lifecycle to influence delivery methods and readiness and launch resources
• Shepherd "Readiness Planning" practices within each Biz HR team for all fiscal initiatives - partner with HRBPs& COEs to ensure quality readiness plans are developed and executed.
• Define integrated Biz HR POD launch calendars providing "air traffic control" to the HR team to minimize biz disruption and maximize consumer experiences. Serve insights back to "centers" to influence timing of readiness activities and product drops 

Execute and Support Workforce Planning

• Steward the Operational Workforce Planning process - ensuring accurate data, seamless tools, and effective management processes aligning critical stakeholders - HRBPs, Business Leaders, Finance, and Strategic Planning - to make sound human capital investment decisions on a 12 to 18-month planning horizon. Maintain tight partnership with Finance to align a single planning and forecasting process using "one-version of the truth" for Headcount, Wage Expense, & Wagebase.
• Serve recurring and project-related data and insights to HRBPs to enable critical decisions
Optimize Business HR Operational Support
• Provide "front-line" support to Line Managers & HRBPs for employee lifecycle and org changes.
• Serve insights to WIN team for greater reporting enablement - sustainable and scalable.
• Innovate & evolve operational tools and processes to support HR Business teams.
Team
• Engages team and sets direction for team and management goals that align with business and company goals
• Coaches staff, creates opportunities for individual development, and makes decisions on hiring, performance management, recognition and rewards
• Mentors / teaches those in the HR Delivery Operations community


Qualifications

• Shares best practice thinking and solutions for enterprise-wide adoption

• Systemic thinker - loves creating order out of chaos. Able to keep teams organized
• Excels at building relationships and networks; influences others to achieve outcomes
• Not seeking project management expertise, however, must be versed in projects and have ability to break down a vision or big objectives into smaller, manageable tasks.
• Refined sense of urgency; able to mobilize teams to action
• In-depth Integration and Operations experience working with large global companies, preferably in Human Resources (8-10 years)
• Bachelor's degree (Masters preferred) in a related field (additional years of experience in lieu of a degree)
