Supply Chain experts ensure that every year, almost a billion units of footwear, apparel and equipment arrive at the right place, at the right time. To ensure this complex job goes off without a hitch, Supply Chain teams work with a network of more than 50 distribution centers, thousands of accountants, and more than 100,000 retail stores worldwide - making the impossible happen every single day.

Inbound transportation capabilities are a key enabler of Nike's Consumer Direct Offense (CDO). As Nike's Director of Global Inbound Transportation Strategy, you'll work closely with geography and functional partners to develop and deploy Nike's inbound transportation strategies across all modes supporting the fulfilment of Nike's wholesale, retail, and e- Commerce businesses. You will play a critical role in developing Nike's global inbound transportation operations, innovation, business continuity and sustainability strategies around the world. Leveraging your expertise and fostering collaboration across Nike geography and functional teams, you'll drive business value for Nike, our customers, and our consumers by ensuring differentiated capabilities and high levels of service in concert with rigorous performance management and sustainability focus with our service providers.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee global strategy development and evolution for Nike's Inbound Transportation in close partnership with Geography Logistics teams
• Oversee and advance Nike's Inbound Logistics Management (ILM) Network - the internal network of inbound transportation leaders and SMEs from around the world
• Leverage the ILM Network to align strategic roadmaps, transfer best practices and drive process standardization globally
• Develop and maintain deep global subject matter expertise for Inbound Transportation modes, capabilities, carriers, and service providers: Origin Consolidation, Ocean, Air, Sea/Air, Cross Border Overland (truck and rail), Small Parcel, First and Last Mile rail and truck
• Partner with Global Procurement, Internal Functional Teams and Geographies to develop and deploy new Transportation capabilities, service offerings, technologies, business continuity/risk mitigation strategies and service providers around the world
• Encourage global standardization of key processes and metrics across Nike geographies and Nike's portfolio of service providers, deploying a common set of Inbound KPIs across the Nike geographies and leveraging analytical data insights to drive cost, service, and quality improvement opportunities
• Partner and align with Nike geographies and functional partners on inputs for annual strategic planning processes
• Oversee a small team (up to 2) of full time Nike employees and work effectively across of Global network of peers
• Partner with Global Procurement, Geography Transportation leaders, and cross-functional team members to develop, source, and deploy best-in-class, innovative service providers, and ensure service providers are compliant with Nike's requirements and standards
• Advocate for sustainability and lean thinking in the inbound space across Nike's global supply chain, while establishing sustainability as a priority with our service providers and helping to facilitate their sustainability journey

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management or related technical discipline
• 8+ years' experience leading transportation operations for a large multinational company, working in the transportation industry or leading the inbound transportation function
o 2 additional years of experience required in lieu of a degree
• Experience developing and deploying transportation strategies and maintaining the 3 to 5-year global inbound transportation roadmap resulting in cost, service, quality, business continuity and sustainability improvements
• Recent experience and current knowledge of Transportation systems, capabilities, and technology platforms (real-time visibility, TMS, carrier integration platforms, etc.)
• Demonstrated subject matter expertise in global inbound transportation markets, service providers, and best practices
• End to end supply chain knowledge and deep supply chain business acumen
• Experience managing strategic inbound transportation programs, including budget alignment and prioritization, with GEO and cross-functional partners
• Demonstrated experience "diving deep" in data, utilizing analytical tools and methodologies, interpreting results, and underlying trends to drive the appropriate actions
• Experience leading cross-functional and virtual teams (including globally/culturally diverse teams) with a proven record of delivering results in high pressure or high-profile assignments
• Travel up to 25% of the year, including international

Preferred:
• Master's degree in related discipline or MBA
• Deep industry relationships with service provider top leadership ranks
• Able to work comfortably up, down and across a highly-matrixed organization to effectively drive change and deliver results the right way
• Demonstrated team leadership, coaching, and talent development
