The Nike, Inc. Communications team develops, establishes and strengthens authentic connections with diverse audiences through the lens of innovation and sport. The team creates premium and innovative brand stories, builds and enhances corporate reputation and brand equity, and engages audiences such as consumers, media, athletes, investors, non-governmental organizations and Nike's own employees. The team focuses on information, inspiration and connection to accelerate the growth of Nike, Inc. Communications employees ignite conversations, envision the possibilities, and influence and deliver new levels of creative and strategic thinking to advance the brand around the world.
Description

The Global Integrated Media Director will lead Nike's efforts to bring storytelling to our category/brand target consumers via creative media strategies and partnerships. Media is a key enabler to help Nike continue to develop unbreakable relationship with consumers. An expertise on leveraging media tactics and technologies to strengthen measureable business results is a must. This position's responsibilities will include: establishing an overarching media vision grounded in data and innovation, fostering strategic media partnerships, collaborating with our geographic Media Team counterparts and educating the cross functional category team on the media landscape (including competitive). This position will be a critical connector to the Brand Direct team, to ensure we are creating seamless journeys across external and owned platforms. This candidate must posses a demonstrated expertise in holistic, consumer insight driven media planning and deep understanding of online and mobile advertising, emerging technologies, and industry trends. They will work in collaboration with key stakeholders to establish areas of focus for the category and to articulate a media strategy that works across the entire marketing funnel.

This role requires someone with exemplary communication and interpersonal skills, as they will inspire and lead external agency partners, work closely with multiple internal teams, and be a key partner for publishers, media, and emerging technology platforms. Collaboration on an aligned vision and effort around traffic driving plans (nike.com & Nike retail stores), integrating strategies that provide a long term path for growth & continuous improvement in efficiencies of performance marketing spend is also a key criteria. We are looking for a media expert that can speak to all aspects of the consumer journey. And we are looking for a media expert who is genuinely passionate about and inspired by the constantly evolving media landscape.

We are recruiting for a team player that can partner internally to provide guidance on creative development based on platform and landscape insights, build key media relationships in order to turn publisher conversations into amazing opportunities, and be able to communicate media strategy and results to a broad audiences including senior leadership. Developing excellent relationships with the Geo Media Team partners is another area of focus-we operate as one (networked) global team. Cross channel experience is critical and digital expertise is a must.

DESIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
• Demonstrated ability to provide leadership for a seasoned and highly collaborative team
• Excellent interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative work environment with multi-disciplinary stakeholders
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including ability to educate key stakeholders to impact decision making
• Demonstrated experience of results oriented media partnerships
• Understanding of the full consumer funnel, inclusive of the owned ecosystem
• KPI benchmarking and measurement
• Passion for the Global sports media landscape and the ability to stay ahead of ever evolving platform and behavior changes
• Excellent resource planning experience, and the ability to successfully manage multiple internal and external initiatives/projects in a deadline-driven environment
• Equally adept at the art and science of media


Qualifications
• A minimum of (7+) years mentoring and leading a team
• A minimum of ten (10+) years of experience in the development and implementation of media planning either client or agency side
• Prior experience on a premium brand preferred
• Demonstrated ability (with real world examples) at defining and executing media strategies and innovation
