Description

Will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of data warehousing, machine learning models and analytical solutions, primarily using Oracle, Teradata, Tableau and AWS/Hadoop/Spark/Python and other open source technologies in Beaverton, OR. Will develop an end-to-end framework that will effectively implement analytical and data science solutions for large data processing and machine learning models for enterprise applications. Will use PTC's Windchill based query builder and Alteryx tool for samples tracking. Will use PEGA Systems for working closely in line planning business applications. Will be responsible for high quality design by aligning with the standards of enterprise architecture. Will work with Datawarehousing, OLAP, and OLTP Concepts. Will develop metadata and business consumption objects in analytical solutions following best practices. Will build complex and critical reports using Excel based Power Query, IBM Cognos and Tableau. Will use the programs and tools in Python, Airflow DAGs, Alteryx for data ingestion into big data platforms hosted on AWS and Snowflake. Will productionalize the data science models with enterprise standards. Will be responsible for performance tuning on big data, Qubole, Snowflake or Tableau and utilizing PySpark Scripts to implement business logic. Will utilize enterprise data integration software, such as AWS DataPipeline and Alteryx and work with large multi-terabyte data warehouses for data integration and business intelligence. Will engage in data ingestion into snowflake from cross platforms including S3 and Teradata. Will provide data engineering support for advance analytics algorithms for several use cases of machine learning and nature language processing. Will collaborate with cross-functional teams, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Solutions Architects to implement high quality data science and analytics projects. Will anticipate Product Owners' needs, assess requirements and identify new solutions. Will design and facilitate system requirements sessions, including document analysis, workshops, and workflow analysis. Will determine the appropriate system requirements capture and management methods, including use cases, user stories, customer journeys, and storyboards. Will elicit all forms of requirements (e.g. functional, performance, usability, compliance, regulatory, technical) from business teams. Will engage with other enterprise teams on large business initiatives to support them with Product information. Will review and design on high scalable solutions for different teams. Will help Product Owners and Scrum Masters to breakdown technical work into logical stories with the right sequencing of steps. Will work with the Foundations team on overall platform architecture on premise and cloud applications. Will collaborate with Solution Architects to continuously refine the architecture as per the right technical design and implement their feedback on the technical solutions. Will collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs, and will drive business outcomes. Will interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes or services. Will support Product Owners to prepare business requirements and get a sign off. Will perform and support business user acceptance testing for rollout of solutions across business users and analysts. Will implement the quality assurance jobs for testing frameworks enabling various validations in collaboration with business teams. Will provide technical vision to senior leadership of the changing technical landscape across the industry and how it impacts the business. Will engage in resource management, mentoring and coaching a mixed development team to effectively deliver large technical business intelligence and analytics implementations while ensuring the quality of the data. Will have two to five direct subordinates. Will engage in five percent or less domestic and international travel.


Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering. Experience: 7 years of overall progressive experience in software design and development. Skills/Requirements: 4 years of experience: ((1) business intelligence and analytics; (2) overseeing a team of engineers, including monitoring performance and management of their career; (3) Pega and PTC Windchill system; (4) databases, including Teradata and Oracle; (5) BI reporting tools, including Cognos, Tableau, and Microsoft Power BI; (6) big data technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, Data Lakes, and In-Memory Database; (7) ETL tools, including Alteryx and Data Stage; (8) programming languages, including C, C++, and Python; and (9) datawarehousing concepts.
