Supply Chain experts ensure that every year, almost a billion units of footwear, apparel and equipment arrive at the right place, at the right time. To ensure this complex job goes off without a hitch, Supply Chain teams work with a network of more than 50 distribution centers, thousands of accountants, and more than 100,000 retail stores worldwide - making the impossible happen every single day.

The Logistic Service Provider (LSP) Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that International and Domestic carrier/3PL performance meets or exceeds Nike, Inc. SLAs. This individual will be responsible for developing a carrier/3PL segmentation strategy as well as developing business reviews based on segmentation. This role leads ongoing management of carriers/3PLs by leveraging carrier scorecards and regular business reviews to provide carriers feedback on their performance and resolve performance gaps. The LSP Compliance Manager partners closely with the International and Domestic Operations teams to understand the impact of performance trends on day-to-day operations and resolve compliance issues. This role will also be instrumental in understanding industry trends and communicating those trends within the North America (NA) Transportation & Trade organization. This person will work closely with Global Value Chain Team to ensure consistency with scorecard methodology and segmentation. The LSP Compliance Manager will also partner with NA Finance, Global Procurement, Global Transportation, and Legal teams within Nike, Inc. to ensure that their work is aligned with broad Nike, Inc. strategy and objectives.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and support NA Transportation & Trade relationships with LSPs
  • Ensure carrier allocations are clearly identified and executed by logistics service providers, and ensure sufficient capacity during peak season
  • Monitor overall LSP performance against SLAs using operational data provided by operations teams & financial (freight cost) data to ensure KPIs and SLAs are met
  • Lead partner business reviews and ensure key stakeholders participate and/or have the ability to provide input
  • Handle carrier scorecard development for quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and monthly business reviews (MBRs)
  • Partner with Global Teams to ensure SLA and scorecard consistency
  • Resolve ongoing LSP performance issues escalated by operations teams
  • Monitor 3PL and carrier industry trends to proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Drive continuous improvement programs in conjunction with key partners (external and internal)


WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO NIKE

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Finance, Business or related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in Transportation, Logistics or related experience
  • 2 additional years of experience required in lieu of a degree
  • Demonstrated people management experience
  • Ability to work with large, complex datasets to identify root causes and support continuous improvement
  • Relationship management skills to support ongoing improvement of carrier performance
  • Travel, 10-15%
Preferred:
  • Experience in transportation procurement/contract management
  • Prior supplier management experience
