They manage accounting and reporting for Nike's multi-billion-dollar global investment portfolio, debt and equity instruments, and other Treasury activities. About the role

As the Operations Accounting Manager for NIKE Trading Company B.V. Singapore Branch and NIKE Global Trading B.V. Singapore Branch (collectively known as "Trading Company"), you will be responsible for operations accounting support in the global buy sell operations, primarily in the areas of intercompany, inventory and direct AP space. You will also be expected to drive process improvements and documentation, support period-end closing activities and project initiatives as needed.

Responsibilities

Business Insights/Decision Support

  • Partner with Innovation & Supply Chain Controlling (ISCC ) to execute deliverables and sharpen efficiency and integrity of finished goods buy sell business model
  • Partner with the Global stakeholders in the strategic initiatives by supporting Trading Company business and Controlling requirements to enable optimization of supply chain product flow
  • Drive understanding and consistency around Transfer Pricing, Intercompany Cross-charges to uphold Trading Company business model integrity and ensure data integrity for legal entity recordings


  • Business Process Excellence

  • Drive health-checks in the end-to-end process covering Intercompany, Inventory and Direct AP space, assess risks and identify mitigating processes from Operations Accounting and SOX controls requirements. Document and report progress to drive outcomes
  • Partner with Country Controlling and Tax teams to strengthen and align processes for VAT reporting where Trading Company is the Importer of Record in country's local jurisdiction
  • Partner with Supply Chain Operations and Capability Teams in ensuring system data integrity in the implementation of new system solutions or change processes to stay relevant with strong internal controls governance.


  • Closing and Reporting

  • Ensure period-end closing process is robust. Review journal entries and reconciliation for completeness and timely reporting
  • Perform independent month-end reviews and analysis for exceptions


  • Requirements




    • At least 5 years of direct relevant experience with large MNCs with Supply Chain Operations Accounting covering processes, controls and legal entity reporting

    • Bachelor degree in Accountancy, preferably with a CPA or equivalent professional qualification

    • Good Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, SOX is necessary. Demonstrate good operational insights to ensure

    • reporting compliance for Intercompany Cross-charges, Inventory and Direct AP. Familiar with Transfer Pricing and VAT accounting requirements will be an added advantage

    • Finance lead with global or regional project experiences. Ability to translate business requirements into operationalization with considerations for financial risks and controls across end-to-end processes

    • Ability to collaborate and partner effectively with multi-cultural business partners and cross-functional teams

    • Demonstrate good communication and influencing skills on complex accounting requirements.

    • Ability to navigate through ambiguity and move forward with aligned priorities

    • SAP competency is required

    • Good documentation skills with proficiency in Powerpoint and Visio
