Converse is the story of a sneaker that started on the court and moved to the stage and street. We're a company ready for change and that's who we hire: the most malleable, the most innovative, and the most creative. Our clothes and sneakers have been worn by rebels, rockers, rappers, artists, thinkers, and individuals. So that's why we hire individuals. So we're speaking the same language.

Manufacturing & Engineering, Product Development

An Awesome Situation is Developing

Architects don't build buildings. And Designers don't build products. You do. The Development crew. It's all dreams and drawings without you. Getting things made takes time and manpower and testing and understanding. Deconstruction and reconstruction. It takes people capable of looking into the guts of the situation and saying: Yeah, we can do that. It's called Know-How. If you've got it, check us out.
Description

It is our nature to innovate. We innovate to separate. As an integral part of the Materials & Color Dev/Ops Team, Converse Material Developers manage the material development process from concept to manufacturing. Material Developers support their respective categories with an emphasis on aesthetic, performance, and quality. You will collaborate closely with your material and color design counterparts and partner cross functionally with product teams. Together you will explore, research and develop new material concepts that are forward-looking and commercially viable from both a consumer lens and a manufacturability lens. Acting as a materials consultant, you'll provide cutting-edge information and conduct presentations and educational seminars for developers, designers and product management. Additionally, you will work in partnership with color design and external color vendors to help develop new seasonal colors and manage the seasonal color palette creation process for the global Converse business.
