Description

The Marketing Science team at Nike orchestrates a multi-disciplinary analytics offense in support of Nike Direct Marketing and Integrated Media teams, proactively identifying opportunities to maximize marketing effectiveness and efficiency, optimize targeted activations and measure membership impact across EMEA business (39 countries).

As a Media Data Analyst, you will be a part of the Media Science sub-team within Marketing Science. You will be at the heart of our paid media business and will help the Media team make decisions that will drive performance, directly leading to the accomplishment of annual business goals. By leveraging SQL, web, and other data analysis tools (R, Python, Tableau), you will produce advanced analysis leading to actionable insights for use by the Media team. You will support forecasting, incrementality and other forms of testing (for example, bidding strategies, audience segmentation, LTV) within search, display and affiliates teams. This position requires a high-energy, self-motivated individual with excellent written and verbal communication and storytelling ability backed by strong data science skills. To succeed in the role, you will need to be attentive to detail, willing to constantly learn and be curious.

The Media Science team works closely with the Integrated Media team. As a Media Data Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide number of stakeholders. This includes the teams managing Search, Display and Affiliates for EMEA, and agencies involved in the execution. This role offers a unique opportunity to have an impact on a large scale and grow both personally and professionally. 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-depth analyses in media attribution, incrementality/ lift analysis, A/B testing, lifetime value, marketing mix modelling and other online marketing related fields
  • Look for business growth opportunities in the data, craft persuasive stories and visuals to help make better data-driven marketing decisions.
  • Actively partner cross-functionally to develop and execute a Learning Agenda, focused on applying  advanced  analytics  and  experimental  design  (A/B  and  multivariate  testing)  to answer strategic questions about audience, content and consumer behavior.

Qualifications
  • Background in a related field such as Marketing, Statistics, Econometrics, Applied Math, or Behavioral Sciences Research
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative related field is a plus
  • Approx. 5-8 years of relevant data analytics experience
  • Experience in Media essential, including but not limited to Search Engine Optimization, Display Ads and Social Media Marketing
  • Advanced SQL command, strong Python or R (or any other statistical programming language) experience are a must have
  • Familiarity with DoubleClick and/or Search Ads 360, best practices & current trends in paid media would be a strong advantage
  • Proven ability to deal with large amounts of un-organized data, great team and communication skills, positive attitude, and strong motivation to learn
  • Tableau and/or Web analytics tools (Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics) would be considered as an advantage
