They manage accounting and reporting for Nike's multi-billion-dollar global investment portfolio, debt and equity instruments, and other Treasury activities. About the Role

As the Operations Accounting Senior Accountant for Nike Trading Company B.V. and Nike Global Trading B.V. in Singapore, you will be responsible for managing the Direct Accounts Payable and Factory related accounting activities for the buy/sell operations of the Nike Trading Companies. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Excellence


  • Oversee Direct Source to Pay processes for buy/sell operations which includes:

  • Vendor management, recording and timely payment of supplier invoices;

  • Review of Accountant's work, problem solve to close escalated factory invoice issues and report out to management on key exceptions through the quarterly late factory invoice dashboard; and

  • Other relevant period close accountabilities

    • Responsible for Earned Credits process which includes operational engagements with key stakeholders, preparation and communication of complex accounting entry in accordance with Supply Chain assumptions and financial impact assessment
    • Provide timely pre-close review analysis and explanations for BSPL Flux
    • Ensure compliance with NIKE's Corporate policies, SOX controls and local statutory/tax filing requirements
    • Participate in project initiatives such as system testing and validation of FICO results.


    Partnering Support/Process Improvement
    • Partner with various stakeholders including Global Controlling, Corporate Accounting, Global Treasury, Global Tax & Legal, Nike Geography/Country Finance and Accounting teams to support business requirements, identify root causes for exceptions, provide resolution and drive process improvements
    • Maintain integrity of financial statements and compliance with US GAAP and statutory reporting requirements through performing health checks, enabling process improvements and documentation of processes and SOP to meet internal control and reporting requirements





    Requirements  for this position include: 

    • Professional qualification i.e ISCA/ACCA/Degree holder in Accountancy
    • Min. 5 years of accounting experiences, with at least 3 years of inventory and accounts payable experiences
    • Related experience gained with MNCs in consumer products preferred
    • Ability to work collaboratively with multi-cultural business partners and cross-functional teams
    • Ability to influence and communicate complex topics across broad and multi-cultural stakeholder groups
    • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with great amount of ambiguity and embracing changes for team success
    • Hands-on experience in SAP FI/CO and MM modules is a MUST
    • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word, and Outlook
