The NIKE, Inc. Supply Chain team is the engine that propels product around the world. Supply Chain experts ensure that every year, almost a billion units of footwear, apparel and equipment arrive at the right place, at the right time. To ensure this complex job goes off without a hitch, Supply Chain teams work with a network of more than 50 distribution centers, thousands of accountants, and more than 100,000 retail stores worldwide - making the impossible happen every single day.

The Transportation Performance Manager is responsible for supporting the North America international and domestic operations team by providing robust performance management analytics, reports, and metrics to enable continuous improvement within the operations teams. This role leverages data managed by the Transportation Data Specialist to conduct descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics to identify trends and inform operational decisions that optimize marketplace service and efficiency. This role conducts ad-hoc analytics to support regular, strategic discussions with key external partners such as carriers and customers. The Transportation Performance Manager also provides training and support to North America Transportation teams to ensure a culture of data-driven decisions across all parts of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain standardized, regular performance management reports and KPIs (carrier scorecards, operational performance, Call for Routing reporting, etc.)
  • Identify performance management trends and build prescriptive/predictive performance analytics to inform medium-term operational decisions (e.g. carrier strategy, mode allocation, port mix, transportation flows)
  • Collect business requirements to regularly update/refine performance management metrics
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support strategic top-to-top discussions with key external partners (e.g. strategic customers, strategic carriers/vendors)
  • Provide regular training and ad-hoc support for cross-functional teams using reports and KPIs (e.g. International, Domestic, MPO, etc.)


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related discipline
  • 5+ years of progressive analytics experience in the field of operations and logistics
    • 2 additional years of experience required in lieu of a degree
  • Transportation operations experience
  • Descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics experience with complex, unrefined data using a variety of analytical and statistical toolsets, including Tableau
  • Data management expertise and toolsets (SQL, Snowflake, Alteryx, Tableau, R, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience training cross-functional partners in performance management data, metrics, and reports/dashboards
  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis to pinpoint causes of operational performance gaps and recommend potential solutions
  • Demonstrated experience simplifying complex analysis to explain difficult concepts and influence others to adopt a new point of view based on analytical insights
  • Broad understanding of supply chain logistics, from consolidator to distribution center to final destination
