To ensure this complex job goes off without a hitch, Supply Chain teams work with a network of more than 50 distribution centers, thousands of accountants, and more than 100,000 retail stores worldwide - making the impossible happen every single day.
Description

As our Portfolio Transition Management Director, you will contribute to Nike's growth by defining and motivating the strategic agenda for continuous transformation of Nike's capabilities for the North America supply chain to better serve our athletes and consumers. In our rapidly changing world you will help us raise the standard on Nike's end-to-end value chain expertise by working in close partnership with internal and external innovation leaders related to Sourcing, Manufacturing, Planning, Customer Service, Digital Operations and Logistics.

The Portfolio Transition Management Director will strengthen strategies and methodologies across a portfolio of medium to large regional or global initiatives. Align on best practices with other Transition Managers and stay abreast of external best practices through regular participation in Global TM network and forums. Lead and develop transition management strategies and set direction for the transition management function across the portfolio. As part of the program team, you will prepare Nike and partner teams for large-scale changes through deliberate and thoughtful engagement throughout the course of the program. Act as an internal consultant on transition management strategy/deliverables for regional or global strategic change initiatives.

Within your role, you will leverage your change management experience to collaborate with leaders across involved functions to develop/maintain strategic plans and operational processes that emphasize collective readiness and effective, coordinated activation. This key role will define, develop and implement transition strategies so that strategic growth priorities and advantages are met.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides change and business transformation leadership and general direction for the transition management team, motivating major business strategies and prioritizing change work across team members
  • Guides change/transition management efforts across functions and workstreams to enable transition efforts; provides organizational impact assessments; guides stakeholder engagement, organizational readiness, communication planning, training, and general oversight of transition management efforts
  • Creates change framework, change planning, rollout strategy, and adoption for change and transformation projects
  • Provide oversight, mentoring, and administration for all team members
  • Develops and defines adoption metrics and measurement strategies in order to monitor change progress
  • Presents strategies and findings to stakeholders, using excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Participates in the coordination and setup of workshops, working sessions, and meetings
  • Actively guides teams through process: assist with updates, challenge assumptions, enforce quality
  • Champions rigor testing on behalf of the executive sponsor and steering committee
  • Helps program managers develop rigorous, locked down milestones & timelines
  • Prepares portfolio status and help communicate updates to PMO manager
  • Oversees tracking of ACE* Portfolio metrics/performance reporting
  • Guides milestone progress, interdependencies and critical path across ACE* portfolio

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Change Management, Transition Management or related discipline
  • 8 years' experience working with Change & Transition Management theory and methodologies in global project delivery
    • 2 additional years required in lieu of a degree
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services
  • Proven track record overseeing projects or programs with moderate resource requirements and/or complexity with experience designing and implementing cross-functional workshops
  • Background monitoring and controlling costs of own work and may manage budgets for moderate-sized projects or programs
  • Demonstrated experience developing and presenting comprehensive program and high-level project plans to executive leadership and project sponsors.

Preferred:
  • Distribution center operational experience or manufacturing process experience
