As a Product Director Data Fabric you will be part of fast pace engineering teams, representing the view of the customer.

As a Product Director, you will be responsible for defining product strategy, capabilities, service features, and prioritizing delivery in line with their business value. You must possess an understanding of business objectives and be able to quantify value and risks at a strategic level. A strong technical background is required to produce concrete Product capabilities strategy and subsequent roadmaps while collaborating closely with multiple engineering teams to drive implementation.

The successful candidate will:
  • Understands the Customer by maintaining a close relationship with customers and stakeholders to comprehend and communicate their needs and participate in validation of the solutions
  • Define and communicate Nike's Data Fabric Platform product vision, strategy, and roadmaps aligned to business initiatives and outcomes.
  • Interact with senior leaders to align, compromise and influence strategic direction.
  • Drive the Data Fabric Platform strategy for access, catalog, data ingestion, data lake, persistence, replication, self-service, and master-data management.
  • Represents the customer in sprints to the delivery teams and provides sprint prioritization to ensure technology alignment with business priorities & strategies
  • Provides customer service to our technology and business partners for onboarding, adoption, and documentation.
  • Partners closely with Architecture and Platform Engineering to align Platform Product Roadmaps with execution Plans and to ensure requirements are understood and end-products meet acceptance criteria
  • Design key performance criteria and report on the value provided by Platform Product offerings and work with Program Management to create regular updates to stakeholders on product priority, delivery, and adoption
  • Manages all product prioritization to available budgets and is able to work with finance to communicate financial costs and chargebacks
  • Stays current with industry trends and recommends relevant technologies & products in the areas of Cloud, Digitization, Data and Analytical tools, Visualizations, AI, and other emerging technologies
  • Contributes back to the overall roadmap and prioritized backlog


WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE
  • Must have knowledge and/or Experience with technologies such as AWS S3, AWS EMR, Redshift, Snowflake, Teradata, Databricks, Parquet, AVRO, Okera, Apache Ranger.
  • Should be able to communicate with customers each technology and the benefits/tradeoffs of each solution.
  • Must have knowledge and/or Experience of open source technologies and impact of make/buy decisions in the area of Data Lakes and Data Access.
  • Must be able to articulate and/or have experience with the lifecycle of enterprise data.
  • Must have an understanding of enterprise security and privacy requirements associated with the above technologies
  • 5+ years' experience as a Product Manager/Director for technology related products. Will consider candidates with less experience that have deep technical domain knowledge as an architect.
  • 7+ years' experience in technology & architecture roles
  • Proven experience collaborating on latest technologies with Engineers and Architects
  • Extensive background in working with business partners: Translating business needs into prioritized technology features and requirements
  • Proven track record of being results oriented with demonstrated ability to achieve aggressive goals
  • Proven presentation and facilitation skills
  • Experience with Agile software development methodology
  • Must excel working in team-oriented roles that rely on ability to collaborate with others
