Supply Chain

The Nike, Inc. Supply Chain team is the engine that propels product around the world. To ensure this complex job goes off without a hitch, Supply Chain teams work with a network of more than 50 distribution centers, thousands of accountants, and more than 100,000 retail stores worldwide - making the impossible happen every single day.
Description

Nike is looking for a Project Controller. In this role you will be in the lead for the financial follow up & reporting of the strategic investments Nike is doing in Europe to enable the ongoing growth. You will be responsible to have these investments ready on time & within budget always following the Nike accounting rules. You will represent Finance in the strategic leadership team & project teams and work closely with the different project teams. In order to be successful you will need strong analytical skills, an ability to "connect the dots" from various sources, and the capacity to communicate clearly and collaboratively. You should be comfortable with ambiguous situations and developing deep business partnerships and you should be very excited about the opportunity to make a significant impact at Nike. Your work location is Laakdal/Ham, Belgium.

  • Advise and support project managers and stream leads with month end closing, budget and forecasting process.

  • Monthly presentation of figures to the senior project management and Nike ELC management.

  • Liaise with financial departments at ELC, EHQ, WHQ for correct registration and reporting of the financial transactions in the program.

  • Business case preparation & tracking of projects.

  • You play an important supportive role in the procurement process of the program (follow up PO's, contracts and invoicing) and related variance-analysis. This includes screening suppliers related to their solvency.

  • Keep data and reports up-to-date.

  • Take a critical indepth look to data flows and take initiatives to improve them.

  • Work closely with your colleagues in the project on the analysis of financial issues.

  • As team player you support the improvement projects of the program in line with the business goals.

Qualifications



  • Master's degree in Finance or related field.

  • 7+ years' experience in diverse finance domains (eg controlling, audit, accounting)  for large international companies. .

  • Excellent proven experience with finance for large scale investment programs.

  • Proven leadership identity.

  • Strong in analytics.

  • Strong communication skills and networking.

  • Quick learner.
