As a Senior Chassis Engineer, you will support Nike Apparel in engineering and validating PROMO Apparel product by confirming it meets and exceeds the requirements of our professional athletes. To accomplish this, you will lead risk assessment and test plan conversations to evaluate the performance of existing and new Nike designs, as well as offer technical expertise to make improvements when needed. As Nike continues to innovate and push the boundaries of Sport, you will be responsible for identifying the need for new mechanical tests to duplicate real world results. You will partner with the key teams across Nike (Apparel Wear Testing, Nike Apparel Lab, Category and third-party engineer firms) to build, and validate the new test methods & equipment, as well as lead the creation of the new standards to benchmark performance for the future.
WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE
Knowledge in Apparel Product Creation
Bachelor's degree, or higher, in engineering field
Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience
Strong Project Management experience
Material, Apparel and / or Equipment manufacturing knowledge preferred
Ability to work with diverse cross functional group
Experience with statistics, design of experiment (DOE) and quality management systems required
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong influencing and negotiating skills
Product Safety experience a plus
Ability to effectively conduct presentations to small and large audiences
Ability to prioritize and lead multiple priorities at once
Creative and strategic problem solver
